Question about Canon PIXMA MP150 All-In-One InkJet Printer
The paper feed has stopped working. The alarm yellow light is on and E 3 error code is flashing. Also, I installed new ink cartridges (black and color) and the black ink and color ink lights are still on.
I have one of these printers and have found the problem, crappy enigineering and inferior parts. Looking at the printer from behind, on the left side (where the motor is located) There are two white gears, located at the bottom and behind a larger black gear. One is of medium size and has a spring. The other is smaller and slides into the medium gear. If you can get these two gears back together and in their proper location, then you're set. But, if you're like me and get frustrated easily, DON'T TRY IT! I broke mine :( A repair will cost as much as a cheap printer, so bite the bullet and hit-up your local rite-aid, they have printers that wont bust the bank. Keep your MP 150, after all the scanner/copier will still work without its attached printer.

You have to pull the paper out gently, recheck if ink cartridges are secure. Next you want to reset the printer by pressing Reset for several seconds or unplug it from the wall. This should reset everything.

Please be advised that if the MP 150 is displaying the letter E followed by number 3, this would indicate a paper jam.
However, if it is flashing E, then 3 and then another digit, an error requiring servicing might have occurred.
Turn OFF the machine, and unplug the power cord of the machine from the power supply. After a while, plug the power cord of the machine back in and turn ON the machine. If the same error occurs, contact a Canon service representative.
