SOURCE: dryer works fine but does not heat up

Hi, looks like there's 1 of 2 faults. Either the stats or the heating element. They are located at the back of the TD, covered bi a screwed panel. If you have a multimeter, turn it to buzz and check the connections. If the meter buzzes it's ok, if the meter doesn't buzz it's dead and needs replacing.
Cheers

SOURCE: TDC32 Dryer is running but is not heating up

Hi.
Common fault with these is the two thermostats that fit on the heater at the back of the appliance -- accessable by unscrewing the back cover (MAKE SURE POWER IS DISCONNECTED FIRST!!)

There is a choice of thermostats depending on the serial number of the appliance.

If you need any other assistance please email me on: aardvark.repairs@btinternet.com

Kenmore dryer Model #11074902200, intermittent

if it heats for the first 15 to 30 minutes then no heat the gas coils are failing and need to be replaced, they work when they're cold but when they heat up they fail, the coils are located on top of the gas valve, unplug the dryer, remove the two phillips screws take off the cover and remove the coils one at a time, pull off the wire connector, install the new coil and then push on the wire connector and then do the same to the next coil, also while your in there vac out the inside of dryer,if you have a shop vac, blow off the motor and blow off all the gas parts to clean it good, now take out the lint filter and remove the vent line, take off the back panel and clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, remove the four screws holding it in and take out the two phillips screws in front of the filter on the top panel,if the vent line is a long run from the wall to the outside i use a leaf blower to blow out the line, make sure the outside flapper is clean also,do this once a year and you'll never have a fire, your clothes will dry on time and your parts will last longer, good luck,if you need any more help let me know, the part number for the coils is 279834 and they are around 25 bucks

Samsung WDJ1255C washer/Dryer combo, is not drying the clothes their still warn and damp after 2x 45 min dries,The heater works, the cold valve lets water into the chamber, the fan is working, I can hear...

It normally takes about 45 minutes for a dryer to dry a full load. If your dryer is taking more than an hour, check these.:-
Vent:------ Frequently there's an obstruction in the vent duct from the dryer to the outside of the house. For the dryer to heat properly, the duct must be clean and clear of lint or any other substance.--- Heating element:----- Your dryer's heating element may be partially burned out. If it is, your dryer still heats, but at such a low temperature that it takes three or four times as long to dry the clothes. If the element is partially burned out, replace it. Internal ductwork Your dryer has some internal ductwork. If it gets clogged, your dryer can't dry properly. In most dryers, to get to the internal ductwork to clear the clog, you have to substantially disassemble the dryer. A quick way to check for internal clogs is to remove the lint filter and use a flashlight to inspect the inside of the duct. If it looks clogged and you can't clear it using your vacuum, contact a qualified appliance repair technician.------ Cycling thermostat:------- Although this isn't a common problem, one of the thermostats that controls the temperature in your dryer may break and cause the dryer to heat poorly. If so, you need to replace it. The thermostat is usually a small, round, black device mounted to an oblong steel plate. The plate is mounted to the internal ductwork with two screws.--------
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

is it getting hot ? if not then its either the heating elements or thermostat. both available on espares. Most likely to be thermostats. If its heating then give the condensor a good clean. hope this helps.
