IP-Bus Hack / Sirius XM Tuner

I've purchased one of the newer sirius tuner (Model: SXV200V1). As well as an Pioneer AVIC-F900BT + IP-Bus cable. Is it possible to hack/splice this IP-Bus cable with the Sirus tuner to enable full in-dash control over this tuner? Links for wiring are here. Sirius Cable http://i47.tinypic.com/infhhe.jpg IP-Bus http://www.caraudioforumz.com/car-audio-technical-discussions-70/pioneer-ip-bus-pin-out-23488/ If I could possibly get help with this. that'd be amazing. I'm aware of the OEM Sirius box. I'm looking for a quick & cheap fix. Thank you. Sebastian

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

SOURCE: Pioneer Super Tuner 3 Removal

If it's been installed with the original DIN mount, there are 2 small flat clips that slide in a small slot on each side of the radio. The 2 pieces of metal are pushed in to release the clips holding the radio in the bracket. Then the radio pulls out

Those clips come with the Pioneer stereo but should be available from a place that sells/installs car audio

SOURCE: Sirius Tuner

Having the same problem with the vm9512. According to Sirius, the Universal SCC1 will work, however it requires an additional Jensen specific "translator" that I have yet to find on any site thus far. Also, I asked the folks at Jensen and they said the Sirius tuner is "supposed" to be available this summer. Hmmm, we'll see.

You will need extra amp(s) to run 5.1 surround sound using out IP-Bus at the brain to in IP-Bus at the processor and rca output to the multi channels amp(s) and control the surround mode which is automatically activate by the format of the disc. The IP-Bus cables is colored polarized at each end to inter connect all components. Just hook them in series follow the color you may add all the components you have. You can also down load wiring diagrams at pioneerelectronics.com. Goodluck.

I just purchased a vehicle with a Pioneer car stereo in it and I can't figure out how to get my i pod to play. The stereo is a super tuner and it says mosfet 50 w x 4 on the front. I can't find...

First, is the radio even ipod capable. If it is, there should be an additional cable that plugs directly to the ipod or iphone. Usually when you attempt to use Sirius/XM, a phone number pops up on your radio for you to call. You will probably need the part number, which will be on the back of the radio. If you are not into all that trouble, you can purchase a new one that has all the functions you want and you will have all instructions and information available. Hope this helps.

The data cable (IP Bus) can connect to several different component designed for your unit, i.e. xm/sirius tuner, HD radio tuner, CD changer, etc.

Pioneer AVIC 700 sirius satellite radio stopped working, stuck on

My AVIC-F900BT was stuck on one channel and wouldn't change. There was no sound. Radio head detected Satelitte system, but no buttons worked. Found on the internet a solution that worked for me. I disconnnect the battery terminals for 5 minutes and then connected them. When the system rebooted, the Sirius radio worked fine. I'm posting this hopeing it will help someone.

I have a Siriusconnect Home Tuner and an XM Ready Receiver. Will they work together? What do I need to make the connection from the 8-pin mini DIN on the Tuner to the XM connector on my Denon AVR-587?

Not gonna work, sorry to say. You need the little two-piece "XM Ready" tuner unit (with antenna) to plug into your XM Ready receiver. Sell the Sirius Connect Home Tuner and buy the XM unit. XM unit still available at some Best Buy stores.

Can't tell what brand you have. I CAN tell you this.....On MOST brands that have a "bus" system (ie: Pioneer, JVC, Clarion etc) When you "add" a Sirius or XM tuner, the "other" input is on the tuner! It will (should) have an output (to go to head unit), and ALSO an input for another add on.

Sirius vs. XM

Hello pdweidner,

The CN-NVD905U is fully satellite ready and is compatible with both Sirius and XM. To change services you will need to purchase and install a XM compatible tuner and antenna to replace the Sirius tuner and subscribe to XM service.

Best regards,

Trying to add more audio equipment to my Pioneer Nav stereo

The Avic N2 is only XM ready not Sirius ready like the N3, which is SAT ready(both XM and Sirius). If you must have your Sirius the only option left for you is use the rear input on the hide away unit but you won't have it on the touchscreen. There is one more expensive option by have your N2 hardware upgrade to N3, some Ebayer have that service offer for about $275. It's done by replace a surface mounted chip with 70 plus leads. That would take some expert de-solder and solder skill with a solder torch or
a tech's heat gun. I can do it but I don't know which chip it is. I have an immaculate N3 for sale on Ebay. Maybe you could sell your N2 and buy an N3. I usually get about $550-$650 for an N2 depend on the condition. Hope that I did some help. You can call me at 801-414-4566, I would do anything I can. Goodluck.
