If you have not found the part for your tripod you are looking for, I have the whole assembly complete, still in the original box.$50 and it's yours.

SOURCE: My handle broke on my Solidex Model VT-90HQ tripod

As far as I know Solidex is out of business and since most of there parts are not standard to the other major manufacturers you sould either buy a new tripod or search for the same (exact same) model on ebay or craigs list to find the same model and use it for parts.

SOURCE: I inherited a Solidex VT-85hq

It could be missing. Most photo repair shops are familiar with this tripod, and my advice would be to just run it by one and see if they can get you fixed up. That's the easiest way, without having to bring up myriads of photos on the net and try to peruse what's missing.
Good luck, and hope this helps you get it fixed.

Flash for mamiya 7

As with most cameras, the flash for a Mamiya is universal. Any flash with a hot foot connection will fit onto the camera, and function on the camera's shoe mount. You may alternatively use any flash which has a PC sync cord to plug into the PC sync socket on your camera, it just depends on whether you want to use a camera phycially mounted on your camera, or an off-camera flash.

The flash shoe on the Mamiya 7 isn't an "intelligent" type, meaning it only has the standard single contact and doesn't communicate any exposure or other information between camera and flash, so even the cheapest off the shelf shoe-mount flash will work just as well as the most expensive. Even specialized dedicated Nikon, Canon, and other brand "dedicated" flashes with multiple contact pins will also work, only the functionality of the information communicated through those other pins will be lost.

Have an 0.5 error in my Rebel XSi, done the q tip and still nget the flash up, two clicks and then error again! Any other tips before sending to canon???

I looked at the date on this and thought you know I just can't get to them all. Anyway Error 5 is to do with the pop up flash you are right. What the camera "thinks" is that there is something in the hot shoe above it and won't "pop up". New cameras come with a crazy plastic piece stuffed in the hot shoe, might be nice but it's going to get lost so take it out and try it. If the piece is already gone then it's back to Canon. Here is why. There are two tiny little hols under the hot shoe where a sensor pin is installed to "feel" if something is installed on the hots shoe. The alignment tolerance is so critical that changes in temperature or traces of dirt can block these pins from working. It's a warranty thing I would think and if not an authorized service facility should only take a few minutes to realign and clean the area solving the problem. In the mean time any Canon EX type external flash will work.
