The phone started bleeping as low battery. As was middle of night simply switched phone off. The next day, when put back in its charger and switched back on, no display whatsoever showing - but back light still worked (as did making and receiving calls - although this no use when display not working as you can't see who you're dialling, nor who is phoning you). Problem is how to get display to reappear.

- Thanks for your help. Have already tried this though without success. Even tried putting new, fully charged batteries in and leaving it for a while, but nothing. It has been a few days now. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks again.
Try to remove the battery for 10 minutes and plug it back in if fully charged. Sometimes the battery just gets tired and needs a new replacement. Try to unplug it first like I said.

I have a panasonic KX-TG1855AL cordless phone and it has a symbol of an envelope with a speech bubble which won't go away. I can ring out but can't receive calls - it goes straight to a recorded message saying the phone is busy.. I've tried everything to get rid of the symbol but don't know what to do!
