SOURCE: how to clean a sink flotec pump

It sounds like the float is stuck. Try pulling the wires coming out of the tank(shake them a little) and see if that will free the float and shut the pump off

Frigidare Gltf1040as0

Good Afternoon Carrie,

I understand that you are hearing a loud noise in the spin cycle as well as water leaking from your Frigidaire washer, model# GLTF1040AS0.

You will commonly hear a high pitched "jet engine" noise during the spin cycle. If you are hearing a vibrating noise, it could be your washer is not resting firmly on the floor. With this you will adjust the leveling legs so the washer is level. If after leveling your washer you are still receiving a vibrating sound, you might want to redistribute the wash load inside your appliance.

If after you redistribute the wash load, you are still hearing a loud noise in the spin cycle, I suggest contacting a local authorized technician.

For the leak I recommend contacting a technician. This way they are able to find where the leak might be coming from and repair it before there is any damage done to your appliance. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-
WP

I recently got an Iron Cleer system; 3 tanks total. It is installed in a downstairs little utility room, with a door, along with the water tank/well pump. My problem is the compressor on top of the...

If there is available space, mounting it on a 4" inch, wooden riser (sturdy enough to handle the weight) with a rubber mat on top of the riser, may help to dampen the noise. As, it won't be making any contact with the concrete floor and vibrating and reverberating throughout the house. I don't see bolting the compressor to floor as a good solution. As, some vibration and reverberation would still be occurring.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

I have constructed a hall for the purpose of meetings. But now there is too much of echoing within the hall. even without loud speakers. With loud speakers, it gets worse. How solve this problem of echoing

Excessive room echo is caused primarily by two things - hard surfaces and high ceilings. The worst materials are glass, marble and concrete block. Next to this is drywall. The more hard surfaces you have, the worse the echo will be. For example an entirely drywall room is much worse than one with drywall walls and an acoustic tile ceiling. The sound simply bounces from the back wall, to the front, to the ceiling, to the floor, back to the walls, floor, ceiling and so on. The solution of course is to reduce the amount of hard surface area. You need to coat the wall with some sort of acoustical wall treatment. Carpet on the walls will work or you can purchase materials for that purpose. How much to install and how much area to cover will require experimentation. There are many choices and this is just one.

An online search will provide many options. Search will the term "Acoustical Wall Treatment"

When using hot water, the Rheem revs up like a motor cycle

I would check and see if the ventpipe that is coming off of the top of the motor is strapped to any duct work in the basement or touching and floor joyces. Even if the venting is touching the duct work a bit, it will amplify the vibration through out the home.

The only other issue it could be would be that the fan blades are bent and rubbing up against the inside of the motor causing the noise and extraem vibration

I am getting a lot of vibration from my pump

there is a bad bearing inside that has worn out and causes vibration and excess heat, when it frees up it will spin quiet for a little then bind and vibrate again. need to replace bearing.

Loud Humming noise every time we run the dishwasher

Hi, I had this exact same problem. In my situation it turned out to be the pump that pumps out all of the used water. It was rubbing up against the floor so that every time it turned on it made a loud vibrating sound. I just reached under the washer and put a piece of rubber between it and the floor and it solved the problem.

good luck!

I saw this post because I am considering buying the same model you have. Other than the noise problem you have, what do you think of it?

Kenmore series 80 washer makes loud knocking noise during spin cy

Unless your front loader is set firmly on concrete and leveled to perfection, the force of a heavy wash load spinning in excess of 1000rpm will create a bit of vibration and noise.A firm footing is your best defense against to much movement.
Also due to the earlier movements during the spin cycle, the shocks that are used to dampen the spin cycle might have been broken or damaged.
If the problem persists inspite of proper levelling, please do check for the shocks or might have them replaced them for good.
