a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: IN BACK-UP MODE I COME
yikes..that means that either your main disk and data are corrupted, or hopefully, only the target disk for your backup.
I'm assuming you can run your computer, right?
then, it's most likely a surface or system header corruption on the area that you are backing up to>
a little more information on your setup will be most helpful?

This type of error normally happens when you try to create a restore point. May I ask if you are using Windows Vista?
Start, right click Computer, Manage; select Service. Services and Applications, Volume Shadow Service, and set the service to "Automatic"
After that run CHKDSK on your drives. This will solve the problem with your computer backup.

it could be that you have a virus on your computer. i typed the error code into yahoo search engine and several things came up. cluttered hard drive. and or virus. try going to start menu, programs, accessories, system tools, disk clean up. check the boxes that need to be cleaned. then tonight before you go to bed do a disk defragment it will take a long time do run this part. in the morning check it and see if you can download the messenger. if that doesnt work then try to use a virus software or an adware removal program. spysweeper is good and you can now get their virus protection too.

That is a critical error. Something is not allowing you to access your registry. You might not have security to do so.
You might have to log in to your computer as administrator.
I recommend you contacting PeopleSoft support and make sure your system meets their specifications.
There might be a version difference maybe Vista 32 vs. 64.

SOURCE: Restore points gone!!
This sounds like Malware. You should attempt to scan with an Online Scan provider.
If you are not able to access the internet with this system, you can download trials of your Anti-virus software of choice. Be sure to read carefully for necessary downloads and definition updates for the software you choose.
Better to be safe then sorry.
