I understand that you would like to have a dehumidifier that restarts after a power outage. I have reviewed the available models for Frigidaire and show that feature is not available. You may want to speak with additional manufacturers for that feature. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

Followed turn on instructions in manual.CO display 2 days. continually. Unit gets Very warm & fan runs if turned off. Have to unplug to stop. Unit used approx.3 mo in '14 & just restartd this week.


could you be mistaking the room humidity indicator for the time? reason I ask is on these one display units this happens more frequently than Id care it too , the one display shows both time and room humidity also set point humidity , the only way one can tell is on some models there is a tiny light that shows up next to labeled function , easy to miss It , also if your machine is sort of new (last few years) it has been decided that it's more efficient to let the circulation fan run all the time , regardless of room humidity . this makes it a little annoying (noise) but they do cycle the compressor to regulate the room humidity

Frigidaire dehumidifier has a F2 error and will not operate


Hello - Typically error code F2 indicates a sensor failed has occurred on the dehumidifier. You may want to contact your manufacturer to verify if the part is available and can be replace. Some do, some don't. Also confirm if the unit has a limited warranty on such concern.

Recently purchased a Philco dehumidifier, model PD24GE. It turns on perfectly well but the humidity reading always says 20%, even if I put it outside where I know the humidity is at least 80%. Any...


Astro9boy, when I first read your post, I considered the problem was was just operator error. But, when I read the Owners Manual for your unit, I changed my mind. It seems there may be a problem with the control panel. But, attempting to reset it may solve the problem.

Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit for 15 minutes.
After the time has elapsed, plug the unit in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch ON
Hopefully, during that 15 minute timeout, the unit reset itself & reverted back to the original factory settings. If so, you can set the controls where you desire.

If the above does not sole the problem, you will need to contact Philco, or the p;ace of purchase, as the unit is still under warranty.

We need to have the condenser repaired or replaced. No water collects when machine is turned on. Where can I find a qualified repair man in Cumming,GA?


Before you have it repaired, there are several things you can troubleshoot and solve yourself, that won't require any repairs.

1. The humidity extraction level may be set to High. Lower it to 32 - 35%.

2. The air intake filter is dirty or clogged. Turn unit OFF, unplug it before removing and cleaning the
filter. If you wash the filer, it must be thoroughly dry, before reinstalling it.

3. Obstructed air flow. To function properly, there must be a minimum of 12" clear air space around
the entire unit.

4. The cooling coils are dirty and need to be cleaned. Remove the front cover and filter to access
and clean the coils with warm water and dish washing liquid. Rinse , thoroughly dry and coat
coils with a light caating of WD40.

5. The air temperature at floor level is between 40 - 60 degrees F. Most dehumidifiers don't function
function well in that temperature range. Especially in a basement application. The ambient air
temperature at floor level is colder than at chest level. Set the the unit on a sturdy table, counter
top, etc, that can handle the weight of the unit & a full tank of water.

Conduct an in-home test, to check humidity extraction: Place the unit in your bathroom, plug it in and set the humidity extraction level at 32 - 35%. Turn the shower ON hot enough to generate steam. Close any window(s) in the bathroom and Do Not turn the exhaust fan ON. Close the door as you exit the room and wait 15 - 20 minutes before returning. After the time has elapsed, open the bathroom door, turn the shower OFF and allow the unit to run 5 more minutes. Then check the water collection bucket for any signs of water. If you see any, the unit is working as it should and one of more of the above solutions took care of the problem.

If the unit showed no signs of humidity collection (water) in the bucket and you want to have it repaired. The closest Delongi Authorized Service Center(s) to you are in Florida (please see the following link) http://www.delonghiusa.com/index.php?service

To figure out what Code F2 is, I took a look at the Owners Manual for the Model # AD70USS, Strangely, the Owners Manual doesn't list an F2 Code or any codes for that matter. Because that model number humidifier, does not have an LED screen.

Never the less, to reset your unit using an alternate method. Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit from the wall outlet. Wait 12 - 15 minutes before plugging it back in. Then turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON and the dehumidifier should have reset itself. If it doesn't check the positioning of the water bucket, to make sure it's contacting the safety switch. Eventhough, you're using a drain home, it's still important.

My DeLonghi dehumidifier model DE500P is tripping the breake


the motor is tight, (can't turn) lubricate the motor bearings with light machine oil. retest. rust causes this. the motor "tries" to turn, more power is needed, still can't turn, power exceeds safe limits: breaker trips.
