SOURCE: chainsaw gas/oil mix ratio

I have two Stihls that are well over 20 years old. I use the factory recommended mixture, 1 part 2 cycle Stihl oil to regular gas. (1:50)

That is still what the factory recommends. Don't use a cheap 2 cycle oil, go to a Stihl store and buy their 2 cycle oil in the orange plastic bottle.

XL-12 and 15 agree with your mixture, no 16 listed.

SOURCE: oil mix ratio for homelite chainsaw

Current models recommend 50:1
1 gallon of premium fuel to 2.6 ounces of quality 2-cycle oil. Once adjusted for this mix your saw will start easier, take longer to carbon foul, and is better for your grandchildren, regardless of what your manual says.

SOURCE: I am looking for a homelite super 2 service manual

I have that saw. The manual states if you are using Homelite 2 -cycle oil read and follow the instructions on the package. If you use other than Homelite oil use 16 parts gasoline to 1 part 2- cycle oil, 1 gal / 8oz

Run what ever fuel/oil mix you are comfortable with. A run lean condition is most often caused by an undetected air leak leaning out the mixture to failure. A couple of ounces of 2-cycle oil will not prevent its occurrence. If an owners manual (OM - I tried) is ever located it likely says 32:1. Most modern saws recommend 50:1:

Oil Mix Ratio:

In the early to mid 90s Dolmar, Echo, efco, Homelite, Husqvarna, Jonsered, Makita, Oleo-Mac, Red Max, Ryobi, Shindaiwa, Solo, Spear

What type of gas do you use for PS33(UT10788) chainsaw ?

This is a current Homelite product although not your saw. This clearly recommends 50:1 as do I. I find no OM for your saw, a "PS33 Chain Saw UT-10788"
http://www.homelite.com/product_manual/file_url/66/UT10540_60_80_QSG.pdf
Dolmar, Echo, Efco, Homelite, Husqvarna, Jonsered, Makita, Oleo-Mac, Red Max, Ryobi, Shindaiwa, Solo, Spear & Jackson, Stihl & Tanaka; all recommend 50:1 and have for a number of years.
1 gallon of premium fuel to 2.6 ounces of quality 2-cycle oil.
4 liters of premium fuel to 80 milliliters of quality 2-cycle oil.

I suggest you contact Homelite and request an OM for your saw.
Homelite/Ryobi.com (Contact Us)

Please ask they prove a link to a site where ALL homelite product OMs may be accessed.

I have a 3300 homelite chainsaw 16'bar,what is the oil,gas ratio?

This should run well with 40:1 ratio using modern synthetic saw oils only. Always premix the fuel and oil in a can before adding to the saw, then agitate the saw to mix the old with the new. Hope this helps!

What is the oil/gas ratio for this model chainsaw? I left my manual at our previous address. Thanks

Fuel/Oil Mixture
  1. Use a quality 2 cycle oil and mix it to the OIL supplier's recommended ratio. Today I use Stihl 2 cycle oil mixed @ 50:1 in a Pioneer that I purchased new in 1980. There are no gouges or scratches on the piston or cylinder and I have no carbon build up on the piston top. The manual (on stone tablets) recommends 24:1. Over the years the mixture has leaned from 24:1 (Saw Recommendation) to 28:1 (Lawn boy mower recommendation) to 32:1 (Oil provider 2gal premium/8oz chainsaw 2-cycle engine oil - used for many years) and finally the last 5 (±) years 50:1 (1gal premium/2.6oz Stihl 2-cycle engine oil)
  2. Any fuel containing ethanol is not good with chainsaws. Mix what you expect to use within a few weeks. Anything over 1.5 months old use up in a 4 cycle engine. HTH

Homelite d3350b what is fuel oil mix i was told i could use 50 to 1 because the new oils are better?????

Buy a good quality oil and mix it to the OIL manufacturers recommendation regardless of what the chainsaw manual says. If you are poking around the barn and find an old can of Homelite 2 cycle oil that says mix 25:1 mix it at that ratio.
All modern oils, chainsaws, and the EPA recommend 50:1. There has been great improvement in 2 cycle technology over the years. To rich a mix causes carbon build up on the piston that breaks loose and scores the piston and cylinder, and it stinks!
