Question about Nextbook Tablets & eReaders

Open Question

My tablet will not stop doing a factory reset. was told to install an older version to my tablet so that when the tablet updates to the current version, it will take care of the problem which is a bad

I got the tablet just before or rather, around Christmas. I had to do a factory reset when the nextbook tablet that I have wouldn't respond the way it was supposed to. Since then, my tablet had done a factory reset more times than I can count. Was told that to fix it, would have to uninstall something, and install an older version. When the tablet would update to the current version, that should fix the problem. Need help.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Through the Google Play Store is the only way I know of. If it isn't working go into settings > Apps > play store, clear out cache and force stop the play store. Then try updating flash again.

You may need to install updates since you factory reset and it is an older tablet. Check and see if there are updates available.

I'm trying to download the wwe app on my tablet. It keeps coming back saying that the app isn't compatible with this device. What do i need to do?

Only thing you can try to do is to find inline older version of that app and see if it would load on your tabled. Looks like currently offered in play store is not compatible with your unit and chances are that either there is hardware limitations or app requires higher android version in order to work. Check tabket manufacturer for updates

My tablet continus to freeze now all because of a app they installed on a update they won't help me. I cannot uninstall or force stop!

Hi there,

You may need to consider resetting your tablet to its factory settings. If nothing else is working, it is what you can try. Any saved data you have on it will go, so you should try to back it up somehow, if you can, but if it is freezing so much, that may not be possible.

When i turn it on i get a message that says unfortunately, launcher has stoped wont let me do anything else

You need to do a FULL reset.
1. Power off unit
2. Hold down POWER and Vol - (or Vol+ if Vol - doesn't work) until Android reset screen appears.
3. Scroll down to factory reset and select it.
4. Agree to reset
Unit will reset itself and start over like it was brand new and you will lose everything that was installed. Most likely you have a corrupt operating system and this may help. However, many android apps will not work on that tablet as its an older tablet that does not have an upgraded OS available.

Good luck

How do I desert my password?

back up if you can reset the tablet factory reset process {look it up in google } and i would look for any 'firmware' updates install these and the reset of the default software then update the tablets software to the latest
this will wipe out the older password and allow you to then enter what you like
if you can get into it then backup now and follow above to restore its proper functions

Go into settings.

Apps. Select Google.
Clear cache.
If that doesn't work select uninstall updates. You will be questioned if you want to reinstall factory version. Select yes.
If that doesn't work back up and reset tablet.

My meep wont play youtube its showing a black screen

First suggestions would be to check that your firmware is current (latest version is 2.1.3) and to install an AppKiller program. If your Meep is full, you might want to consider a factory reset (done through the Settings menu) to clear out any file corruptions. Other than that, this is a matter for the OSI call center.

Kocaso M1070 turns on goes to bold android screen and hangs please can anyone help my 6year old is heartbroken I bought the tablet from mighty deals in June when I had the money and gave it to my son...

Anyone from Kocaso, or anyone who owns one of these please jump in and correct me, please!

I suggest first trying the toll-free help for Kocaso: 1-866-777-0079. They are open M-F, 9:30am-6pm EST. Follow exactly the help instructions from that person first! Ignore the rest of this!

Do you know what your son did to induce the error--if anything? Do you still have the manual? Have you tried soft and then hard reset?

Use your PC/Laptop/Mac--not a tablet--to navigate to these links and downloads.

I've done some searching: Manual--Download from this link and open the PDF file with Adobe Reader on Windows. (If you don't have Reader installed, the most current version is a free download at Adobe.com.)
http://www.kocaso.com/manuals/?model=M1070

Firmware Upgrade: Their manual doesn't appear directly to indicate how to perform a hard reset without upgrading firmware. Telephone support should instruct well about that, though. See the manual on page 13--that's likely your tablet's problem! That refers the reader back to "Should I perform a firmware update?" on page 12.

I hope that firmware update isn't required: It may prove very risky--perhaps making your tablet useless.

Note the screen picture on page 9 of the manual: "Backup and reset"--if you can navigate to that, click navigate further in the menu to "Factory Data reset" (that's what my Android 4.0 tablet indicates, anyway--it's likely the same wording). Execute, (and, click "Yes, etc.") if possible: It likely isn't possible, is it?

Here's the firmware update site for the 1070 models: The procedure is somewhat involved, yet not impossible. Actually, two versions of the 1070 tablet exist--1070A and 1070B. You need to determine which one is your's. Definitely click and read "Serial Number Checklist.txt to help determine which firmware update to use. It appears somewhat ambiguous with one model. Again, telephone support ultimately should prove correct here, in your case.

Yet again, talk to a person at Kocaso first, always ignoring all of this, if possible!

I'm making a guess here: Note step 2 of the "Firmware Update Instructions.

"Turn off the tablet."

Then "Press the Volume + button of the tablet and keep it pressed. "

That point in the process likely should offer an option for factory reset, given that you can't navigate your tablet's "Settings" menus. Navigate on that screen and execute--clicking "Yes," or otherwise affirm.

Try to get in touch with the company! Online, they provide a form in 'Contact Us"--use that in place of calling, if necessary.
