How do I remove ice and water dispenser from a Kenmore Elite refrigerator model 795.72043.110?

Hello Nelson;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

Most of the components to be removed are secure with plastic pop out tabs. Look under the bottom of the front cover, there may be a screw on each side in addition to plastic tabs. With a small flat head screw driver pop the cover off. Be careful these tabs are easily broken. Ground yourself by touching something metal. Static electricity will knock out a control board.

Go into the following website. Type in your model number. You will get an exploded view of your dispenser. Water Filters Lawn Garden Appliance Parts

How do i adjust the shelves in my Maytag side-by-side refrigerator?

You should have pins or clips that rest in a standard that you can take out for adjustments. Simply pop them out . If yours are made onto the shelf itself, then raise up on the front side of the glass then pull it out from the post or standard.

After 14 months and 3 refrigerators, I'm giving up. The RF265 and RF263 series refrigerators make loud popping sounds. I've been through two RF265s and one RF263, and they all make the same noise. The...

I have had what sounds like the same problem for over a year with my Samsung RF263 refrig. It makes very loud popping noises like expansion noises when heat hits your house siding or a railroad track. The noises are loud enough that they actually startle people, and our cat. I had a repair man in last May 2013 but no luck.

I finally did a lot of listening, testing, etc. and found the problem. I noticed it would occur whenever the compressor came on. I thought it might be ice build up, so I took the cover plate off over the evaporator in the back of the refrig compartment. There was no ice build up. I then left the cover off and wiring attached and no noise after a day. After a few other trials I added some more weather stripping to increase the distance between the evaporator coils and the cover plate and that help quite a bit but not totally. I still get a pop now and then. Another problem I noticed with this partial solution is that it causes the shelving to not be aligned. A 'V' gap forms between the shelves and they droop a little. I'm still trying to figure out how to fix this but haven't had any good ideas yet.

This is a very annoying problem and a design flaw in my opinion. Whether Samsung has a solution for it I don't know but I plan on checking before my warranty runs out.

Older Admiral refrigerator. ice maker doesnt turn off

Gabe,

I'm not familiar with this particular icemaker, but the cover will either pop/snap off or it has a screw or two in it. Make sure there are no screws before you try to pop it off. You sound pretty handy, so I have confidence you will get it off successfully.

Admiral refrigerator -shelf removal

You just "pop out" the blue clips. Then pull the shelf out and relocate it to your desired position. Lastly, replace the blue clip to the top of the hole where you placed your shelf.
