How do I fix my noisy Husqvarna Viking 64 40.

If it is mechanical (not computerized), a thorough oiling with good fresh sewing machine oil or Tri-Flow Synthetic Lube will likely make a vast improvement. Open the top, the left side cover, and the area under the sewing surface. Gently rock the handwheel and apply 1-2 drops of oil every place that metal rubs against metal. Do NOT oil rubber/fabric belts, leather, plastic, synthetic parts or computer components. Old oil turns to glue and then varnish and actually inhibits movement. Keeping the oil fresh will help your machine keep running for a long time. Oil at least every six months when not in use. More often if the machine is used frequently.

Loower looper keeps braking.

Sergers are... well can be a pain. "Lower looper thread keeps breaking." Ok... so Here is what I Would do. Get your magnifying glass out and really get in close with a good light and look for burrs on the looper. Also look for burrs on the throat plate, etc. If you find one use some very fine sand paper and carefully smooth it off.

If that doesn't help or fix it. Take it in to a repair shop and tell them what's going on. you might need it timed too. Good luck

Why wont my machine move?

If it's been sitting unused for a long time, the lubricating oil will have evaporated and turned to varnish. Use only sewing machine oil to lubricate it after carefully cleaning and loosening all the moving parts. Forcing it will break something expensive.

Motor is noisy

I think you need to oil your machine. Clean out any fluff (lint) from inside the machine first. Look at the specific points to oil in your user's manual. Use only sewing machine oil. As a motor is made of moving parts these must be oiled from time to time so that they can move smoothly and do not become rusty.

I was sewing and hear a loud clunk like the needle broke. It didn't, but the thread was broken. I rethreaded, and now the top tension is too tight, even at a 1. At 0, the thread pulls through fine, but if...

It sounds like the tension is working, with the tension at 0 there should be loops of thread on the bottom. Set the tension on 3 or 4 and try to sew and sew what you get. The bobbin case on that machine gets damaged easily and may need to be replaced. If it is damaged then the machine will sound noisy when sewing.
