Relay on main control board stuck open on ge profile pvm1871sm1ss

Replace the main board. Or if you desire replace the relay. The relay has a diagram and voltage that the coil works, take the relay out and test it.

Stops cooking at end of time but still keeps running

Possible that the relay is stuck or that the processor does not cut off the relay drive or the relay drive is faulty. You need to remove the control panel and reset the board , clean the board , check for faulty relay , drive transistor to the relay or dry joints in the processsor. Also check for moisture or dirt accumulation. Clean and reset.

CDA MC41 Light not working

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Again, this microwave oven repair is for OTR models. If you know your light bulbs are good and your display is telling you that they should be on, check the light relay on your control board. If no voltage is found at that relay, then replace the control board. Otherwise your problem is in the light socket, wiring, or wire connectors. You can get to all of that by unscrewing 6-8 screws under the unit and taking the bottom panel off.

While changing nightlight bulb, it twisted off and short circuite

Hi,
In all probability, the short took out the relay on the control board and the control board will need to be replaced.

I hope that helps.

Lights fan and carosel do not work

tricky one. common denominator to all parts not working could be open neutral track at back of the circuit board, or possibly a relay not switching correctly.Need testing equiptment for that.

GE JVM1440BD Microwave hood lights don't work

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week.

At our Web site, you can get details of our service, plus we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

This can often also affect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can be inoperable or stuck on too.

If your relay is bad and you want to replace it yourself, it is part # 3501-001050 and you can find helpful exploded view diagrams of your microwave and order that part here.

Be sure to also do any needed circuit board repair with 30AWG wire to prevent it from doing worse damage if another bulb shorts.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number) for more information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Changing Power level on Westinghouse microwave

If it won't cook at the lower power level then it probably has a stuck relay on the control panel circuit board.

If it were cooking at a low power level, it would be on full power for several seconds, then when the relay opens to turn off cooking, the light gets a bit brighter, and the sound is a bit less.

Then after a few seconds you would hear the relay click on, and a little more buzzing when the magnetron energizes.

Please write back with your brand and model number if you need further help.

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Turn table not turning

When you press the turntable pad do you see an indicator changing in the display?

Do you hear a click when you press the pad?

If not, try opening the door then closing it and trying again and also try unplugging it for a few minutes, resetting the clock, then trying again.

If all that fails, you probably have a bad relay or connection on the control board, or a bad turntable motor.

Please write back with more details if you need further help.

Also, we do repair these control boards in case you need that help.

We appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
