Question about GN Netcom GN 9330 Wireless Headset
New problem today. When I touch the button on the headset the handset lifter does not lift the handset on the phone. When I touch the button on the base unit, the handset does lift as usual. I tried to re-pair the headset and base and still have the problem. The headset shows that it has a full charge. If I use the base unit to lift the handset, the headset works fine except for answering and ending calls. Help, please!
SOURCE: Headset not working
Sounds like your headset isn't paired with its base. With the headset in the cradle press and hold the button on the left side of the base that has two arrows on it. You should see the blue light on your headset turn on. Its now paired to the base.
If that doesn't work, remove the battery from the headset. (This is the back piece of the headset.) Wait a few seconds and then snap it back on to your headset.

SOURCE: My Headset just stopped working
Hi I was in a live session with you when you left. Apparently you have not paired the headset with the base. All you have to do is follow this procedure
Place the headset in the charging base->Press the base's pairing button->Both the telephone and USB buttons on the base until the headset's link indicator will light for 2 seconds indicating that the pairing is successful. It should probabl charge after this.
Let me know if you need more help.

It only picks up certain digital rings. I changed the ringer on my phone and had the same problem. To fix it, I had to plug in the little microphone that plugs into the handset lifter and place the mic over the ringer speaker. Now it works fine.

I was wondering if you had installed the external ring sensor, this sensor most be over the telephones speaker, if the speaker isn't under the handset. hope this can help.

Tips for a great answer:

The HL10 handset lifer is what notifies your headset that
you have an incoming call. If you are using the handset lifter and are not receiving the 3 short beeps in your ear piece there are a couple
different things that could be going on.
1. The internal microphone could have gone out on the lifter. This microphone is what sends the signal to your headset that you have an incoming call. If the microphone is working you will hear 3 short beeps in your headset.
2. If the volume is too low on your telephone, the handset lifter will not notify the headset of an incoming call, so try turning the volume up on your phone and see if that takes care of the problem.
3. The HL10 handset lifter ships with a ring detector that has a 2.5mm jack on one end and a small round microphone on the other end. This ring detector is intended for phones that do not have the speaker located under the handset. You could try plugging this into the back of the lifter and setting the microphone next to where the lifter is mounted on your phone. This might help pick up the sound of the phones ring tone.
If you are manually
lifting your handset out of the cradle and sitting it to the side instead of
using a lifter, then you will not receive the 3 short beeps in your earpiece to
notify you of an incoming call.
Good luck from Headsets Direct!
