SOURCE: Hi i have a Generic (No Name) Wireless IP camera view on NET Help

alright, I'm going to start with the easy solutions.
1: your camera is not compatible with the programs you are trying to use it with (MSN, Skype, Yahoo, AIM)

2: you were ripped off, the camera is a piece of junk waste of money (If this is the case i recommend buying a Logitech webcam, a little more expensive, but user friendly and the best on the market)

3: you didn't install the drivers for the camera

4: Your Camera has drivers but they aren't up to date: Update them

5: you didn't Configure your camera with the program you wish to use it for. do so now via the Tools/Options menu, look for web cam properties or something of the like.

6:and my ultimate Solution to any problem that involves a Webcam/mouse/mic/ect that isn't from Logitech, trash it and get one from Logitech. Logitech is the best in the business and are good at what they do. I hope i have helped you with any one of my numerous suggestions please have a good day =P

SOURCE: not able to use remote viewing via no-ip

I had the same exact issue. I was using dyndns to connect, but i found out that when you login in the host, dont put your local ip address of the dvr, but instead put the internet ip address of your network. so instead of 192.168.0.5 for your local put the 89.137.24.124 for the internet address. That fixed my issue. Hope that works for you. Just make sure your username and password is right and the port is set up correct in your router to forward to the local ip of the dvr.

How do I play a file downloaded from a TECHview QV-3048 on my computer

H.264 is the Video Codec not the file extension. Videos encoded with H.264 generally have the file extension of .mp4. Change the extension to .mp4 and it should play in VLC.

I have a Bunker Hill four camera home surveillance system, but I cant figure out how to get it to work through my internet so I can view video on my Android phone when I am away.

Determine your router's internet ip address and the port that your security system is set to communicate with.

Your Bunker Hill system should have an app for the Android phone that you can download. Download this app to your iPhone, then use your internet ip address and designated port address to set it up.

This information is general in nature, but it pretty much applies to 90% of the security systems that provide remote access.

I have a H.264 DVR with system V2.00.R05. What app or system can I use to view on a iPhone 4S?

IP CAM VIEW found in the Itunes Market: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ip-cam-view/id471794610?mt=8# should work as long as you have the network settings properly configured in both your DVR and Home Network. I recommend setting a Static IP for the DVR on your Home Router. After you have assigned the IP goto the network settings on your DVR and input the IP Address you assigned, the SubnetMask of your Home Router(usually 255.255.255.0 or 255.255.252.0), and the Gateway of yourHome Router.(i.e. 192.168.0.1/192.168.1.1/192.168.1.254). While you are on your Network screen I recommend changing your default TCP Port andHTTP Port to something that is not commonly allocated. As with most Routers you must Create a pinhole in the firewall to allow the outside traffic in. Select your DVR's IP on your Router and Create Definitions for both Ports that you set on your DVR's Network Menu. If your DVR and Router didn't reboot after saving these changes reboot. On the phone ap I found the following two cameras to work with the H.264 DVR System V2.00.R05:
  • Make: Unknown Brand Model: DVR-9008HV
  • Make:A.V.Sistemi Model:A.V.Sistemi 61xx DVR
For the Host/IP field, You use your Home Routers Internet IP. TCP port is the number you set on the network menu of your DVR. Ch.# is the Channel Cam (1-8, and 9 being a single feed of all 8 channels)user names and passwords are case sensitive.
I hope this helps

My iPhone does not connect to the Zoom X6 DSL modem. I can connect my laptop and a couple other wireless devices but not my iPhone. Is there a setting I should change either on the router or on my iPhone?...

there is 2 possibility 2 change in router first WEP or wpa security code if in your router need password for connect it then you need to find that key code to enter in iPhone.
Second if in router MAC filter is enable then you need to add your iPhone MAC address in allow list of router.
For that Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link.
http://192.168.0.1
or
http://192.168.1.1
If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it.
Then it ask for user name and password.
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank.
Then you can see configuration page of router.
Click on WAN settings and set those settings as your internet service provider settings.

Clickon wireless settings enable wireless then enable WEP Security then add WEP code .It is your password to connect wi fi.Then save settings and restart router.
Then you can connect your wi fi network with that code.
First find the mac address of your iPhone in network setup menu then add that mac id in mac filter of router configuration menu. Then save settings and check.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.
