if you purchased your game on-line they should have sent you an email with the codes, if you did not then i would contact the company or person you got the game from and ask them for the codes
First check again if you wrote it correctly. If it doesn't work, contact EA technical support and tell them about the problem. They will most likely ask for photo of game with serial showing.

Hi,no you didn't waste your money.This does happen from time to time,the fix is to contact support at http://www.ea.com You will need to have an account setup and being that Crysis is a ea supported game they can and will help.I had the same problem the fix took about 2 days.EA games will ask you for the code you have now and then they will verify it,after that they will send you a new code.Keep the email as it will be needed to add the new code,do not type it into the game copy and paste it.If you need the code again you can find it at EA games under your games account.just look to the bottom of the ea web page you'll see customer support clicking that will take you to your my games list and other help. good luck hope I helped
