The movie contains 'DRM' encoding -- "digital rights management".
The NOONTEC cannot access the Internet to obtain the DRM information to authorize playback of that file on that device.

SOURCE: KEEP GETTING EMPTY DRIVE MESSAGE

I know you have said that you've converted the movie, but it may not have converted properly, or it maybe a slightly different format, i.e MP43. Try converting i again, also you could try converting it to .AVI, as a lot of MP4 players can play .AVI files. Is it just the one movie, or all movies?

SOURCE: ihave a noontec v8 media player, when i plug it

Don't know if you still need a solution or not but here it is:

control panel>admin tools>computer management>disk management

then go through the wizard if its your first time, then you will see the unpartitioned hard drive in the media player, and click or right click or whatever and select partition and follow that through, wait for it to format and your done.

Hope it helps

SOURCE: lightwave hdd media player that disconnects & reconnects

Hi,
It could be either because of loose connection or fluctuating current supply to HDD. So make sure there is no loose connection. For the second problem, connect both the USB pins for the cable, if provided with the HDD. Also try connecting the hdd to different USB ports as well as to different computers.
If nothing solves your issue, then the problem is internally in the HDD, you have to get it repaired.
Please come back and rate my solution if it turns to be helpful for you. Thnx

First check sound settings on control panel, ensure volume is not at minimum and computer audio is not muted. Test playing a CD.

this is usually due to Media Player or whatever player you use on your pc, not having the right codecs to decompress sound from camera file.

Usually you sort it out upgrading media player, you can download update from links below.

I have a noontec v6 media player and any pc will not recognise it any more after i initially loaded it? it still plays fine but wont open on pc

Convert the flv files to divx using free flv converter. Then use Divx converter to convert it to Home theatre.
Then it will play on Noontec V6 if streamed from computer.
Unfortunately if copied to USB drive it will not play.

It will read my ext hard drive, reads all the folders/menu's etc, but does not register the files "(null)", yet my other ext hard drive works fine.

try using file option instead of movie or music cos some time when you use movie or music it will only look for movie or music files also what formatt are your movies in cos it has a prob reading certain files and codecs like mp4

DVD player is not able to detect WD 320 GB hard drive

Try reformating the drive with FAT32 file system (this is the default facotry mode).
