On the main screen press the menu part of the screen. After this, press the settings button, then phone profile, click on the two red arrows to change the settings, and then in the top right corner there is a box with a down arrow that says incoming. Click on the down arrow and then on new messages and there you go. Change the message type, vibration and volume. Hope this helps.

I'll give you steps to louden your samsung j700's volume..
at you're phone's standby mode, type *#0206*8378# then go to H/W test (2), Select Audio settings (2), Choose MP3 spk (13), And go to Rx vol. then select and choose level 14, change the no. to 3500..

Go to the QWERTY screen by turning the phone sideways. In the upper right corner, hit the icon that looks like a piece of paper. Then hit Add, and you'll find Graphics and Animation as options. ***Note: the menu that had Add as an option can be scrolled up and down for more options.
