the laser that reads the cd is probably dirty - if you have a can of compressed air - insert the nozzle into the cd player and blast away any dust and debris - if this doesn't help - there are cd cleaning discs available at any major retailer - just insert the cd and it cleans the laser - worst case scenario - buy a new cd player - the prices have really come down - I replaced mine with the trim kit and wire harness for $100 - only took about 1 hour - but you do need to buy the Ford stereo removal tools (available also at any good stereo store)
1.) insert the usb adapter to the computer 2.) install batteries on keyboard. 3.) INSERT DRIVER CD AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS 4.) If noting pops up on installin the cd then skip step and continue 5.) button on keyboard press the connect button on the usb adapter.. (if there isnt one skip this step) 6.) when the driver installer comes up, click install drivers automatically
try reinstalling the burner then restart ur computer if the problem still ocurs then right click on my computer then manage then device manager then right click on ur system name (eg tom234) then scan for hardware changes and update ur drive, if the problem still ocurs then change the cable(sata or pata) then try.
check your power supply to make sure the correct amps and volts are there. check your speakers to verify the correct ohms for the receiver. if the ohms are to big you will shut down because it overdraws on the receiver.
