SOURCE: i have a creda storage heater 79153, i turned it

Check the fuse board it should be marked up (but often is not especially if POLISH electricians concerned) it should be a 32 amp fuse.
The heater has a thermal fuse installed internally £12 replacement, these tend to be the only things that go wrong with storage heaters! get a qualified electrician who you trust to have a look otherwise who-ever looks at it will say its F****d and will take you to the cleaners

Creda storage heater manual

I'm not a heating expert, but according to the information I could find, Economy 7 utilizes cheap electricty at night, during off-peak hours (7 hours) between midnight and 7AM. Economy 7 costs about 4p per unit compared to peak electricity, which is about 10 to 15p per unit. If you do not have Economy 7, you can request it FREE of charge from your electricity provider. You will either have one meter with two readings or two separate meters. A two tariff electric meter will record the electricity used during off peak times, so it can be billed, separately, at a lower rate. If you have two meters, one meter controls on peak daytime electricity and the other controls your night time economy 7 electricity.

I would need to know what model Creda heater you have installed in order to determine how energy efficient it may be. I also will need the model so I can determine operating instructions. If you need further assistance, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps.

What size breaker do i use?

at 10kw, that should be about 34130 btu's. With 240 volts, you should be using approximately 41-42 amps. Check the manufacturers name plate for breaker sizing. probably a 45-50 amp double pole breaker will work, also check with a licensed electrician to make sure that the wire is sized correctly for that unit. Hope this helps.

Low heat output

Hi,
first of all, have the thermostacts been checked,if not they will need to be checked, mainly dust can get into them.
if they have heating elements, ckeck to see if they are all in tact and have no dust on them.if this does not work then you will need new heating elements, which you might not get any more,if this is the case then im sorry to say that new heaters will be needed. i hope this helps and good luck.
