Is there a special type of monofilament thread to use?

I would suggest that you don't use this thread, it is too fine for the tension device on a domestic sewing machine, and they just don't like it. Too strong, too fine. Its best used in industrial blind hemming machines, if you look at RTW trouser hems you'll often see monofilament utilised here.

How do you adjust the foot pressure

There is a dial on the left side near the light that can be rotated to put more pressure or less pressure on the foot. If that is not working the spring inside may have become detached

How to open the pfaff synchotronic 1229

Do you mean taking off the travel cover and flip open the cover? Lift the handle to get it straight up. Press the latch in the center of the top on the front of the cover and let the lid tilt forward as far as it will go. Lift off the carrying case cover (sides and back). Then press the latch again and flip the lid completely down.

The accessory box needs to be accessed by reaching under the detachable work surface and swinging to the left. Then swing the bobbin holder to the rear of the machine. Lift up the work surface and open the lid to the box.

VSM Group now owns this Pfaff line and has the manual available here: . The direct link to the manual is$FILE/Pfaff%201229%20Synchrotronic%20x%20.PDF . See page 1 (page 5 of the PDF) for pictures of opening the cover on the machine.

I hope this helps.

How do i fix a wire that cam detached?

it will require a soldering iron and some solder. I would heat the end of the wire that came off with the soldering iron tip and as it gets hot touch the solder to it until it flows onto the wire. then put the soldering tip onto the connector that the wire came off of and add a little solder if needed and then touch the wire to the connector and when it flows together remove soldering iron and still hold the wire until it cools. the wire should be connected, if not reheat and try again.
hope this helps

The bobbin case keeps getting pulled out of its slot as thread is caught on a part as it attempts to pick p bobbin thread

Did you floss the bobbin holder to make sure you don't have any bits of thread, you put the bobbin case back in correctly, have been changing the needles frequently and according to type of fabric just like regular sewing and have been using the lint brush and drops of oil like the manual illustrates?Detach the embroidery unit to use the sewing side to get the situation corrected, it's much easier on that side. Then when you have that situation corrected, run a zigzag test stitch with the thread and bobbin fil until you have a perfect zigzag going on your sample fabric sandwich--adjust the tension and you should have it.

After winding 2 new bobbins, the LED screen remains showing the bobin being wound, even when bobin is removed from spindle and spindle is mived back to the left.

The front panel circuit board has a microswitch which is activated mechanically when the bobbinwinder is moved to the winding position. The error is most likely with the microswitch stuck in one position. The remedy requires you to have moderate mechanical aptitude. The best thing to do would be to take it to your dealer for repair. If you want to try to do it yourself, here you go:
  • Open the top lid and, with a straight slotted screwdriver, remove the two large silver screws
  • Close the lid and raise the handle into the carry position
  • Loosen, but don't remove, the small phillips screw underneath where the right side of the handle rests
  • Pull the top of the right side cover over slightly
  • Remove the small phillips screw underneath where the left side of the handle rests
  • With the handle up in the carry position and the lid closed, lift the entire top cover from the left side first, exposing where the handle attaches underneath
  • Carefully bend the lower part of the handle to the right and detach it from its mount
  • Remove the top cover and handle
  • With the top cover removed, you can see the bobbinwinder arm make contact with the microswitch
  • If you are extremely careful to not touch the circuit board with your bare fingers or with a metal object, you can manually press the microswitch to see if it works
  • The plastic microswitch "button" may have become detached
  • The "spring" on the end of the bobbinwinder arm may have become bent
  • Don't remove the bobbinwinder assembly

How do I delete a previous transmission to my embroidery attachment on my CE100 (Singer Futura)?

try resetting it, take the hoop out, turn the machine off, and then back on, or try detaching the embroidery unit, and then reattach it. I hope this helps :)

Trnsmitting problems I cant transmitt to my machine and it is now getting frustrating.

I have the solution! After calling 1-8004SINGER.
When this happens,
turn off emb. machine
detach hoop
exit out of futura program back to the windows screen
Then, turn on emb. machine
Reattach hoop
Open Furtura program
Select design
Select transmit button
and this should work. You have to this in the exact same order each time.
