Where is the fuel pump fuse for a 1998 Buick skylark

You should have 2 fuse boxes one under the hood and one under the dash or on the end of the dash on the driver side there should be a cover.Remove the cover and it should tell you where the fuel pump fuse is located. Also in the engine compartment usually on the top of the fender well there is another fuse box which contains the fuses for the ignition, cooling fans and a few other systems. These fuses are also labeled for system application.

The cooling fan relay is located in the engine compartment just behing the left headlamp...not under the dash. There are cooling fan test connectors built into the wiring harness near the left strut tower. The cooling fan relay is controlled by the cooling fan temperature switch located on the rear of the engine. There are 3 temperature sending units on your car if it is equipped with a temperature gauge. If not, there are 2 sending units, One is for the computer and the other is for the fan relay.

The one for the cooling fan will have 2 wires, one Tan and Orange and the other Brown and White.

The cooling fans and cooling fan relay get their power from fusible links built into the wiring harness near the starter relay.

Relay Center Cooling Fan Controller
  • Located behind the left side of the instrument panel.
Cooling Fan Controller Module
  • Located behind the right side of the instrument panel.
Cooling Fan Relay
  • Located in the air conditioning cooling fan control module.
Electronic Control Assembly
  • Located under the left side of the instrument panel.
Electronic Engine Control Power Relay
  • Located behind the glove box on the right side of the instrument panel.
Fuel Pump Relay
  • Located behind the glove box.
Horn Relay
  • Located in the fuse block.
Let me know if this helps. If not, let me know.

Circuit Protection The fuse panel is located below and to the left of the steering column.
Fuses are a one-time circuit protection. If a circuit is overloaded or shorts, the fuse will blow thus protecting the circuit. A fuse will continue to blow until the circuit is repaired.

Main fuse box located on driver's side to the left of the steering wheel, above the brake pedal.

1991 Chrysler LebarWhere is the fuse for the radiator cooling fan

That Fuse/relay is located on the driver side of the car under the hood in a black rectangular box. when you open it if you are facing the car from the front it is the relay that is all the way to the left above the two 20 amp fuses. just pull that out and checker or autozone should have a replacement part that is between 10 and 20 dollars i believe checker/schucks/Kragen has the part cheapest though. could be based on your area.

'86 Skylark overheats after 15 minutes of driving. Any suggestions? Oil and water are okay.

1. Try this locate your goose neck its where your thermostat is located should be top hose comming from your radiator to your engine block. Tap on it lightly several times this might be made out of aluminum so don't go crazy on it.

2. Do this while it is hot but not over heating see it it fluxuates and it may calm down, sludge and gum builds up around the thermostat and causes it not to open (Or Sticks) CLOSED and creates pressure and heat it's letting the coolant circulate through the engine thus it can't keep the engine cool.

3. Question does the electric fans kick on, if it has electric fans? If not then the fan has a sensor check sensor loose connections and the ground is very important also make sure the fuse is not blown may have two fuses on on engine fuse block and one under the dash check both.

4. Mileage if its high miles car the radiator may be old depending on your situation may consider replacing it, replace the thermostat that usually is the culprit!

REMEMBER TO check coolant level!

5. But not always. Maintenance, Maintenance, Maintenance! If doing routine checks on your vehicle Isn't your bag of tricks then try your local jiffy lube or other lube shop. GOOD LUCK!
