Question about HTC Rhyme for Verizon Wireless CDMA
Hi, I have had this phone for over a year in India. It was working on the local carrier just fine. I did a factory reset because of low memory and numerous other problems. Since then, it shows a little triangle over the network bar although it shows network. I cannot make calls or receive calls or texts. My local carrier customer care is clueless as well. I really need this phone to work as I cant afford another phone. This phone doesnt use a SIM either.

Might be a problem with the network part. I mean the transceiver built in. Do another reset and see whether it fixed the phone. In most case, if the reset couldn't fix it, the problem might be hardware

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Believe them. If there is a network issue, then a tower may be down and cause signal problems.
One solution requires you to call in, ask for PDA support and have them refresh you on the network.

Sorry, I don't think there's any way to use the G1 without internet. When you log in it has to connect with the google servers to check your password etc. Maybe you could try using a friend's simcard to sign in, and then turn the phone off and switch simcards? It might work! Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I'm a HTC Hero user on Meteor BillPay. Had the same problem and got the following solution from Meteor support which worked for me. On the phone, navigate to :
- Wireless Controls
- Mobile Network Settings
- Access Point Names
- Meteor Data
- APN Type
Change the value here to the word "default".
Restart the phone and bob's your uncle. I did this and it worked a treat.

It may be as simple as Turning the phone OFF and then ON again, or more complicated.
The other solution is to :
1. Contact the Service Provider.
2. Ask for the Billing Section.
3. Ask them to check that a BAR is not on the phone.
Phone companies BAR phones within days, if a phone bill is not paid on time and you have to call them to get it lifted. If you can't call from your phone, you will have to use a different one.
Be aware, that your Phone Provider may have an automated phone service, so you will have to call during business hours generally, and will have to go through the automated service until you get an option to speak with an operator.
I hope this helps. Regards,
