I have a JVC turntable and an old Sansui reciever. Last night I was playing a record, and it stopped playing out of one speaker, and makes a loud buzzing noise. However, when I push the Mono button

You should check the connections to the turntable, it sounds like it might be feedback hum, caused by a wire touching or something like that. Don't forget to check the connections to the cartridge too.

Want to unlock sansui turntable p-l51

I don't know what you mean by locked, but if the table won't move and is locked in place, you probably still have the shipping screws in place. Remove the rubber mat and the platter. Under there, you will generally find red screws or screws with tags that must be removed to allow to platter to turn. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

You might have a gummed up switch. Try some contact cleaner and go from there.

I have a problem with a Sansui turntable

Linear tracking tonearms probably don't move much under manual control. It would still help if we knew the model number.

Have a Sansui compu edit p-m70 turtable. I turn

Lift off the turntable mat and the platter. Near the tone-arm, remove two screws holding down a panel and then inspect the tonearm belt. They wear out and stretch out and this could be the problem. Replacement is easy and does not require any special tools or further dissasembly.

Lock light indicates that turntable platter speed has reached correct speed.

I am repairing a Sansui XP99 that will just stop, normally at begining of LP record. Sometimes will play all the way through then stop. Will not repeat. Also tone arm lifter is not working

check the drive belt.the arm lifter will not work if there is not enough torque. lubricate the bushings in the motor,as the grease gums up after some years .
