You should kindly explain how it started, what happened and symptoms you see. Try this: 1. When you try booting and you can see your operating system (OS) e.g 'Windows Vista' appearing on the screen and not giving you a successful booting, then repair repair Windows or formating using your Operating System software. OR 2. When you try booting and you can't see anything on your screen or not even a sign of booting, try and confirm if your motherboard is still good. And if bad a pin board can be fix and pinless board unfixablr.
Check the power supply.Hope the notebook receives power from the battery or the Ac adapter. We need to ensure there is no issue with the power supply.boot the notebook to the safe mode.If it boots to the safemode perform a system restore. In case the notebook does not boot to the BIOS,connect to an external monitor. If we still do not get a display, its the video card
As the notebook is starting you see the Dell 'Splash' screen. Press F2 to go into the BIOS setup. Check to make sure two things: first that your cd/dvd and hard drive are being recognized and identified, second that your boot order has the cd/dvd first and internal hard drive second. Your machine may be trying to do a USB device boot or network boot when these options are not available. Next try pressing F8 immediately after the splash screen disappears to try to get into Safe Mode. If it still fails to boot, I would try booting using a Windows XP installation disk and then going into the repair console to check if the hard drive is damaged or corrupted.
