Question about ZTE Cell Phones

My voice sounds muffled when i talk and people can't understand what im saying?

Ever since the first day I bought this phone I have been trying to get it fix the whole time I had it. Nobody would help me or send me in the right direction to get it fix ...I'm very upset I paid 250.00 for the phone and cant use it.. So I had to buy another phone call the Samsung galaxy. And I do not like that phone , but the other one I love all the features...Just wished people could hear me clear.

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.

SOURCE: external speaker doesnt work when someone calls

Hey,

I have the same problem and I had my phone completely torn apart today. When I put it back together it worked for a little bit. The speaker is mounted in the external case (with the numbers on it) but it contacts the PCB via these little copper arms. Well the arms punctured the copper contacts on the circuit and I think that is causing it to fail. It was a very long process to take the phone apart and I don't recommend it unless you're skilled (I'm an Electronics Technician and it was annoying as heck). I think if I find the time to get back in there, I can resurface the contacts with solder and it will make connection again. Overall, its a terrible design flaw. All the sophisticated technology that goes into a 3G phone and then something as dumb as a 2 cent copper contact goes bad? That is just sad really.

Why do people say they can't hear me when I call them?

Well, there's a bunch of reasons why that could be:

•You speak in a muffled/slurred voice that is difficult to understand when the listener is not looking at you
•Your phone's microphone is defective and need repair/replacement
•you have a case on the 5c that covers one or both of the microphones. There are two mics on the 5c: one that actually captures the intended audio and the other there listens for background noise. What the phone sends to the listener on the other end is a subset of the two microphone sources passed through a complex filter.
The "main" mic is on the bottom of the iPhone while the background sensing mic is on the rear housing between the camera and flash.
•you have debris/dirt in the microphone holes

Hi, It's the mouth piece of the phone. The mouth piece is located at the down part of the phone which allows others to here you when you talk.
The mouth piece is damaged that's why people can hear you,
When they replace it people will hear you clearly.

Take care.

Make sure the battery is charged. If the battery is low either because it is old and doesn't hold a charge or needs to be charged, the audio will sound like your talking from the bottom of a swimming pool.
