a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: showing red image
Make sure red is matched up to red, green to green, and blue to blue first. Then, try a different set of YPbPr (component) cables if you have a set available. If it still shows up red, then read this:
If you are using a Progressive Scan TV
(TV must indicate Progressive Scan or
ProScan capability), to activate TV
Progressive Scan, please refer to your TV
user manual. For DVD system Progressive
Scan function, see page 28.
– If your TV does not support Progressive
Scan, you will not be ab le to view the picture.
Press and hold OPEN/CLOSE button and
press ‘1’ to deactivate progressive scan.
Progressive Scan - turning on/off
To select this item, you must set “Video
Output” to Y PR PB and ensure that your
TV has progressive scan (See page 11.)
Follow the steps of “Using the Setup
Menu” and select :
PROGRESSIVE SCAN OFF
Select this to disable Progressive scan
These are pp. 11 and 28 of your owner's manual for the HTS
If these methods still fail, try turning your TV's progressive scan off or on.

Make sure that the color control level is set to the default or 50% to start with. This should be in the Video menu.
The colour for the tuner and for the encoded base-band video uses a circuit area called the colour demodulator. It is possible that this cirucuit area has failed and needs servicing.

In my experience in my shop, nothing good. I see this sort of thing often in my shop, however unfortunately, this is only a SYMPTOM, the :Cause" can and are many and Varied. usually it has to do with the Voltages being wrong. There is no realistic way to repair a TV of this sophistication, in house. The tools, equipment and the need for a service manual and experience to repair is considerable. Plus when faulty, a TV can cause a fire or an explosion, so it is owed to all, that it be professionally attend to, as if a repair was done, incorrectly and there was such an event. it would be very bad for the repairer. It is my professional recommendation, that you get a free "Quote" for a repair. This way you can make an informed safe decision to repair or replace.
