Turning off Automatically

My casio exilim is so messed up. I use it regularly, and it now will not turn on, it says RETRY POWER ON or LENS ERROR. I keep trying to turn it on it keeps saying that. If I wait a few minutes it will work. Once i get it on and look through pictures it will shut down, even though the battery is fully charged. HELP!! What do i do? Who can fix this?

Thanks for the response. I actually took some advice to send it back to Casio. it was a little over the one year warranty but they fixed it for me for free and it works great now! I just fibbed on what day I received it as a gift. Its was a lens problem caused by dropping it.

Chances are your focus is messed up or damage or the lens motor is i would suggest getting a new camera or getting it fixed at a camera store

Casio Exilim EX-Z60 won't turn on

This happened to me too, fiddle with the lens as its obviously stuck. Don't be too rough but try to figure out if it is slightly bent.

You will only be able to this if the lens is sticking out a little, enough to get a grip.

When I turn on my EX-z150 it says 'lens error or retry power on.'

Defective Lens Block.
Needs to be replaced.

Retry power on and lens error message

From the sounds of it, your lens is faulty and would require replacing.

You may need to call some of the camera repair centres in your area (State), they may have a 2nd hand lens that requires a clean up and they might be able to use that to repair your camera at a lower cost.

Casio EXILIM camera lens will not extend fully!!!

Try plugging the PC interface cord into the external connector. No need to hook it up to your computer, just plug it in and out a few times. Then try to power up the camera.

A lens error requires to be sent into repairs. Give them a call at 800-706-2534 option 2.

Casio EXILIM camera lens will not extend fully!!!

It's the focus lens gears. The often times get knocked out of alignment by an impact, or debris gets in there. This can be fixed, but Casio won't help. Hint...google my username. ;)
