a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

How to change setting for letters

I'll thing you'll find the keyboard letters are in the right place :-)

But being serious, you need to change the "regional setting" for the keyboard. If you go into the control panal and select the keyboard settings, you should change it to what you want (I assume UK)

Best of luck

When i press @ I get " and vice versa

Make sure that your keyboard layout is set to US. To do this, right click the taskbar, go to "Toolbars", and make sure that the "language bar" is selected. A keyboard icon will appear. Click this icon and set the keyboard to the language that you want it to be.
Alternatively, you can set the keyboard layout if you go to the control panel, under "region and language" and then "keyboards and languages".
Hope this helps.

I bought a Garmin Nuvi 1350 GPS. How do I change the language into English?

. Setting the Languages Voice Language--change the language for voice prompts. Touch tools > Settings > Language.
text Language--change all onscreen text to the selected language. Changing the text language does not change the language of user-entered data or map data, such as street names. Keyboard--select the keyboard for your language.

Touch Mode on any keyboard to change the keyboard language.

When I press shift and the at @ sign I get "

Your keyboard looks like it is set for the "United Kingdom" instead of the United States. Go to the control Panel > Regional and Language settings > go through each of the tabs and buttons and change the settings to "English-United States" Make sure to change the location to United States and in the keyboard, change that to United States and then remove the "United Kingdom" keyboard, just highlight it and look in the right pane and you will see the remove button. Reboot when you have changed all the settings.

Press SHIFT+ALT once to change your keyboard language.

Hp mini keyboard shift key 2 does not type @

it has to do with your keyboard setting, currently you are set to the united kingdom keyboard layout, you will need to change this to Unite States settings assuming that you got vista, you will need to do the following

goto control panel
click on regional and language option (there will be a pop up)
click on the keyboard and languages tab
click on the change keyboard button (another pop up will appear)
click on add
and add the United States Keyboard
change the keyboard setting on the upper drop down menu to United States, and then click ok.....this should solve your problem.

Problem in Keyboard Keys

You appear to have your country settings/keyboard layout wrong on your settings..

Goto Start - Control Panel - Regional and Language Settings
Select the Keyboards & Languages Tab and then select Change Keyboards.

Set your default input language to whatever you have (IE mine is English - Australia)

Click Apply then OK
