Can I scan to an SD card

If the scanner normally asks where you want to save the scan then yes, if it automatically saves to it's own default folder then it is just a matter of copy and paste onto your SD card..

Won't read sd cards

the pc hooked to the printer will show the HD card as a hardware addition. Just hook everything up - start the software on the pc and plug the HD card in. There will be a window that opens on the pc showing the HD card. OR - go to my pc - check for drives - the HD card will read as the last or next to last drive on the list.

Can the Brother MFC-210C read a Turbo SDHC Card ?

No, SDHC cards are not backwards compatible with SD formated devices. You will have to get an ungraded SDHC reader or SDHC device you can plug into your PC to read it that way.

My smaller memory cards work, but my 4gb card says media error in my brother printer/scanner when I put it into the usb port (photo capture). Tried it dozens of time, doesn't work, but I was able to read...

Many older system will only support standard SD cards up to 2GB and HD SD cards will go above 2GB. It is a limitation of the printer and not an error with the card.

Printer says: media error, please reinsert

The most likely problem is that the Printer cannot read SDHC cards. Most cards over 2 Gig are called SDHC you can see on the card if it is infact one of those cards. if this is the case then just plug your camera into the computer and transfer the files that way then you can print them.

Cannot copy photos from my SD card

If the printer is connected to your PC with the USB cable then as soon as you insert the SD card in the slot it acts as a drive. Open up "My Computer" and search for the new drive (e.g. E: or I:). You can explore the SD card as you would with your hard drive and you can copy the photos on the SD card to your computer as you would normally copy files.

Want to print pictures from camera card.

I received my Brother printer today (11/5). I also go mine mainly for the scanner because my Visioneer 9320 doesn't have any drivers for VISTA, and Visioneer isn't making any updates.

My camra uses a SD card. This is how I got mine to print pictures.

I place my SD card into the printer
I then press the PHOTO CAPTURE button The display on the printer reads CONNECTING TO PC

Then the display reads PRESS (up arrow or down arrow) & OK
When you press the up or down arrow, the display will read PRINT IMAGES or PRINT INDEX

I selected PRINT INDEX and then you have to press the OK BUTTON
The printer display then will ask 6 images per line or 5 images per line.
You pick what you want then you hit the OK button.

Don't forget to put the photo paper in the tray, upside down.

Hopes this helps
