Transfer pictures from camera to card on Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP2

There's a Copy command in the Playback menu that will copy photos from the internal memory to the card (and the other way around). Full details are in the "[Copy]" subsection of the Using [PLAYBACK] menu" section of the manual (page 73 in my copy). If you need a copy of the manual, you may download one here.

What are the steps to getting the pictures from the card reader to my pictures folder? How do I copy and paste them?

Start by inserting the card - the system may pop up a box asking you what to do, if so, choose "use windows explorer to view files". Otherwise, open Windows Explorer yourself, it's under 'All Programs', 'Accessories'. Navigate to the card reader; it's going to be a drive letter which usually says "removable disk". You will probably have to go down into a folder called "DCIM" and then another with a number such as "101" before you find the pictures.

Now, to keep things simple, open another copy of Windows Explorer. On this one, choose "My Documents" and then "My Pictures" so that your pictures appear in the pane on the right.

Now go back to the other explorer with the pictures on the card. Click on the last one you want to copy (to select it). Move to the first one that you want to copy and hold the key, and click on that. All of them will become selected.

Right click on them, and choose from the list "copy".

Switch back to the Explorer with My Pictures, right click in the pane where the pictures are (but not on an actual picture), and choose "paste". The pictures should be copied.

This copies the pictures; when you have them safely backed up, you can delete them in the camera, or you can delete them from the card with the computer to free up the space again.

How can i get the date and time shown on the developed picture

If you copy the data from the built-in
memory to the card, we recommend using
a card which has more free space than
the built-in memory (about 14 MB).
• If a picture having the same name as the
name of picture to be copied exists in the
copy destination, the picture will not be
copied.
•When you copy the data from the built-in
memory to the card and if the free space
on the destination recording medium is
not sufficient, the picture data can only be
copied halfway.
• DPOF settings on the original picture data
will not be copied. Set DPOF settings
again after the copy is completed. (P73)
• Only files conforming to DCF standard
(P49, 75) can be copied. (Files which do
not conform to DCF standard cannot be
copied.)
• It may take time to copy the data.
• Pictures which are recorded or edited with
other equipment may not be copied.
1 Select [YES] to format the
medium.
(The illustration is the screen when the
built-in memory is formatted.)
•When a card is not inserted, you can
format the built-in memory. When a
card is inserted, you can format the
card.

hope you can get something out of this...it came from user manual!

Nikon coolpix 4600: How to transfer pictures from camera to card?

ok I figured out how to do it! put the memory card into the camera, then go to view the pictures. Then press the menu button and scroll until you see the copy button. Then you will see the option to copy from camera to card, or card to camera. Press the option to copy from camera to card and press select all....(or whichever pictures you want copied...I wanted all pictures copied). Then voila! it takes a few seconds to copy from the camera to the card, and there you have it! :)

Copy to card

Try putting the card on your computer, and open up the file to see if the pictures are still there. Unfortunately, it is quite possible that you formated the card, thus causing the deletion of the pictures. If the pictures are still there on the computer, then copy them to your computer, then delete whatever is left on your card, reformat it on the camera, and then copy the pictures back from the computer to the memory card. If you have any questions, please contact me.

I can't transfer pictures from my computer to my digital frame. When I connect my usb cable to my computer from my digital frame , the frame displays "Connected to computer. Use PC interface to copy files....

You can start copying pictures to SV811 digital picture frame if you get the message “Use PC interface to copy files.” Here are the steps:

Copy pictures, videos, and music between your frame and computer, using your computer's normal file copying tools:

1. Connect the USB cable from the frame to your computer
2. On your computer, open My Computer or Windows Explorer.

The picture frame appears as removable drives—one drive for each connected picture source in the frame, in this order: internal memory, memory cards, and USB devices.

3. Navigate to the pictures you want to copy. Then drag and drop them to the new location.
4. Unplug the USB cable to view your copied pictures.

Copying pictures from EasyShare software:

1. Install EasyShare software (free download at www.kodak.com/go/sw )
2. Connect the USB cable.
3. On your computer, open EasyShare software. Select the pictures in My Collection and drag them into the Picture tray.
4. In the menu bar, select File and then Copy to the Kodak Drive letter.

The picture frame appears as removable drives—one drive for each connected picture source in the frame, in this order: internal memory, memory cards, and USB devices.

5. Select the frame source to which you are copying.
6. Select Best for Digital Picture Frame to reduce the resolution of the pictures you are copying. Full resolution is unnecessary and quickly fills up the frame's memory.
7. Click Copy. Pictures are copied to your frame.
8. Unplug the USB cable and press “Home” icon to navigate to your copied pictures.

Move images saved to the internal memory to the optional xD-Picture Card

The images saved to the internal memory can be copied to the xD Picture Card, but you cannot copy images from the xD Picture Card to the internal memory. Before you choose to copy the files to the xD card be sure that there is enough room on that card. To copy the images to the xD card make sure the camera is powered on, then and press the menu button. Use the down arrow key to navigate through the menu to the BACK UP feature. Use the right arrow key to enter the Back Up screen and select YES to copy the images to the xD card, or NO if you choose not to coy the image files.
