The Zodiac Chlorinator problem showing on the system is 'low in salt' and yet we have added 8 of 25 kg bags only 7 days ago Our pool has 50,000 litres of water

Most salt water chlorination systems have their sensors in the cell. This is the unit that the water passes through to convert sodium chloride into chlorine. If the cell hasn't been cleaned recently that would be the first step to try. Cell cleaners are available at most pool supply stores. Short of that you may need to replace the cell itself. I would also contact Zodiac directly online to get support there.

The lm series chlorine generator has a tri-sensor inside the cell that measures flow, water temp, and salt level in pool. If the controller is indicating no flow after it has been cleaned properly, then the cell is most likely in need of replacement.

24' X 52" intex pool, I am having trouble with my cholinator not producing chlorine in the water. there are no signals or lights flashing. but when I test for the free chlorine on the strips is do

If you can remove your generator try and bench test it. Fill with pool water and do a chlorine test. Run the generator for a few minutes, unit should produce bubbles when the cells are turned on. Run another chlorine test and make sure it is higher than original test. You should also test your combined chlorines to make sure you don't have excess chloramines in the water. Also check for any buildup on the generator plates which should be acid washed, and verify salt concentration.

Aqualink Chlorine Generator not producing any chlorine

It shounds like that you might have a mustard algae issue. It feeds on chlorine. It is possible that your unit is producing chlorine but the algae is consuming it as fast as it can be made. You will need to do a shock treatment and use an Algae 30. It could be something else, but this is likely. You can google mustard algate treatments and read up on it to see if you have other symptoms.
