Mimibm100, to start the system normally, don't pre the F buttons. It should boot normally. If it does not, check boot sequence in F2.

SOURCE: start up problem

Sounds like you need to do a complete system reinstall or bring it in to a repair shop and have them see if they can fix it for you.

How do I get to bios setup

This depends upon the manufacturer of the laptop and the BIOS installed in it. Almost all require you to press a key right at the beginning of the boot-up process, some even give a little display about what key to press at the start of the time window. The window of time available is short; miss it and you have to start over and reboot. Most common access is the DELETE key. Others use the F1, F2, F10, or F12 keys. Chances are one of these will work for your machine.

How to repair Windows Vista or 7 when it will not start or boot

When your computer will not start, all is not lost. The windows install CD has a repair utility that is very useful. By running this CD you can get back into Windows and repair your installation!
  1. Get your copy of the Windows Install Disc (any copy will work) and put it in your CD or DVD drive
  2. Turn on your computer and press F12 until you see a menu come up. If F12 does not work try ESC, Enter or F2 - depending on the brand of computer this key can vary
  3. Select CD/DVD Drive from the menu that comes up
  4. When you see "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD . . ." press any key on the keyboard
  5. Wait for the files to load (you will see a white bar along the bottom of the screen)
  6. Click on the continue button when you see the Windows screen
  7. lick repair my computer in the bottom left of the screen
  8. Sometimes the repair will begin immediately, if not, click start-up repair and let the CD do it's work.
  9. Reboot your computer and see if it boots
  10. If your computer does not boot, follow steps 2-9 again. The repair can only fix one problem at a time. If after 5 times it still does not work, Windows may need to be reinstalled.

I need to access BIOS at start.

Hi, it's normally F2. Sometimes F12.

Keep pressing F2 or F12 repeatedly as soon as you have pressed the power button on the PC, this may get you into the BIOS

What is the f2,f8, r f12 want work? only the Ctrl+ Alt+ del that wroks

F2 usually takes you to the BIOS setup screen, you need to hit the keys as soon as you power up.

F12 selects on a Dell instant boot menu to select booting from CD-ROM, USB, etc rather than the BIOS options.

F8 goes to safe mode start up for windows, this must be done before the windows logo comes up (ie when it is a black screen).

Control - Alt -Delete Keys together can be used any time, after windows boots as it tells it to re-boot the computer, back to start up.

When i click start button lap is work with show like as press F2, F12. then when i pressed any key the widows is start. how to solve this problem.

If you leave it, does it boot after 30Seconds or so? If it does the bios is set to standard boot. Setting up fast boot will remove the F2/F12 option.

Belta notebook usb/network booting windows system?

When you press the power button normally the boot options will display on the screen. Most times it is the F12 key to select the boot option. This is a temporary change only good for the current boot cycle.

Also most times the F2 key will get you into the Bios or System Setup where you can change the boot option and make it a permanent change.
