SOURCE: follow-up (no power)

if you remove the case theres a 15 amp fuse in there , looks like the old automotive glass fuses but its not glass . it sometimes will blow for no reason , remove it and take it to any appliance parts place . .....Please if this answer helped , please rate this 3 or 4 stars . and keep me in the paid answer department . A 1 or 2 may knock me down into the unpaid ranks. Thanks Cactus Bob .

It may be a blown fuse or thermostat / TCO / thermal cutout.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

The F3 code keeps coming on with a beeping sound on my G.E. sensor microwave oven model number JES1456WFC001 1100 watts.

F3 means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

If it's under warranty, you should be able to get it fixed free.

The "C" in the model number means it's made for the Canadian market, and contacting GE Canada seems to be impossible for us here in the States.

So you'll need to contact GE via the info in your owner's manual.

If it's out of warranty, it's best to replace it, GE does not make parts available for JES-series microwaves.

One assumes they're meant to be thrown away when they fail out warranty.

Please don't kill the messenger... :)

How to replace thermal fuse/flame sensor

GE JES 1358 WK 01 microwave:
I recently had the same problem with a "flame sensor, " aka "thermal switch." My microwave is a "throwaway" model, very few repair parts available. I didn't want to replace it, so I did a little bit of research into thermal switches. I actually found one that would replace it for about $5 (plus $5 shipping).
Mine uses a "bimetal" thermal switch. There are three kinds of bimetal thermal switches: automatic reset, manual reset, and "one time use." The really interesting thing is this: the "one time use" resets (!!!) if the ambient temperature is below 0 degrees C, or 32 F (freezing); or, in some cases, -31 C, or about -22 F.
I put my "dead" flame sensor in the -10 F part of the freezer for about 20 minutes...
Checked it with my multimeter, and the once-dead sensor now read continuity (zero ohms)!!!
Reinstalled it in the microwave, and now it works fine.
So if you have a dead sensor- try freezing it...
