Question about 3Com (3C17206TAA-US) 24x10/100 Mbps Networking Switch
Hy.
I work in factory with over 20 switches 3COM 4400. Today sudenlly the entire network has frozen. After a couple of hours we manage to solve the problem by extracting one of the switches from online state.
It was blocking the entire network. I didn't thought that was posible but I saw it with my own eyes.
I want if has happend in other cases and if it is possible to prevent some how this problem.
Thank you verry much.
Please provide solution of Network is blocked

Sounds like they are daisy chained together and this glicth locked the system. How are the switches routed through your network. Do you connect via T1 or Fiber?

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

The broken switch was connecting by CAT6 coper wire (82 m measure by Fluke Network device) to the center of the network witch consist in 3 devices 3COM4400 connect in to a stack.
About half of the other switches are connecting through fiber optic to a 3COM 4900SX witch itself connects to the center by fiber optic.
Thank you :)
I have a stack of 4 X 4400, last week of October they went bananas. They would lock the network three times as day, somtimes more. I have finally pulled them out and we had a fine Weekend and Monday. So it's a switch problem. How do I find out which one is the faulty one?
