Unfortunatley there no other way to do this but you are going to have to split the case in half to get to it, My suggestion is take chain and roller off first it makes it easyier to handle, hen large dirty rag work your way round taking all screws out slowly take cae cover off, PS before you start drain petrol off store it somewhere else in a petrol can it makes it all lighter when case is split you can see trigger and cable catch unit hopefully plastic bit hasnt snapped that holds it in place if you can grab with plyers pull it back into position make sure it works ok before you put everthing back, and while you have it split in half give it a good clean at the same time and lubricate it all especially the cable onto carb bit it will operate better, hope this helps

Ryobi weedeater throttle not working

Check the throttle cable connection at the carburetor throttle linkage, it (cable) may be broken or the carburetor linkage is broke.

How do I connect throttle cable to throttle trigger?

Search for online manual, that has the diagram, showing the location the end of throttle cable at the trigger. You will have to take apart the handle assembly, to access the cable and trigger.

Spear and jackson, sht26X, the throttle won't

I suggest taking the handle apart to see if anthing is blocking the action of the trigger from inside, like some debris. Then see if the throttle cable moves if you pull it. If necessary keep tracking it back to the carburetor, maybe there is a piece of debris in there blocking the throttle lever on the carburetor.

How do i put the throttle trigger back on stihl fs45

On the carburetor hold the throttle lever to where it would be at full throttle. Then you can put the cable back in the catch for the cable that is on the throttle lever and let go of the throttle lever. The throttle cable should work with the throttle trigger now. The throttle cable only fits one way. The larger hole on the throttle cable catch should go to the ball at the end of the cable.
I hope this helps.
If you feel you cannot do this, then I would take it into your closest Stihl dealer and ask them if they would help you. I do this small repair for free at my shop. Have a good day.

Remove the air cleaner and watch the throttle arm on the carburetor while operating the throttle trigger--suspect that the trigger assembly has acquired sawdust and dirt sufficient to limit proper travel of the trigger mechanism. Careful notes as you dis-assemble the trigger will help get it back together properly. There is little except proper maintenance to prevent debris accumulation in the trigger mechanism. Note: air leakage behind the carburetor can also cause high idle speeds--make sure the carburetor is fastened securely and that there are no flaws in the gaskets and heat insulator located behind the carburetor. Hope this helps!

Model P3314 throttle is stuck

Remove the air cleaner assembly to see the carburetor throttle mechanism and open the handle so that you can access the throttle trigger. There should be either a cable or wire connecting the trigger to the throttle arm on the carburetor. Try moving the trigger and see if it responds at the carburetor. Is the carburetor arm against the idle stop screw, wide open, or some where in between? There should be a spring at the throttle arm that returns the arm to the idle stop if the cable/wire is disconnected. The trigger mechanism may be jammed with sawdust to prevent movement. Hope this helps!
