SOURCE: night light won`t work

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

This can often also affect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can be inoperable or stuck on too.

Details of our service and critical safety information and disassembly information is at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa.

SOURCE: Left turn signals won't flash, Right side works fine. Replaced front and rear turn bulbs (rear was burned out). Bulbs come on fine on the left side, they just won't flash.

Gday mate, we had a problem with another late model vehicle similar to that, the bulb that was put into the reverse light was not exact brand product ( ohmage was slightly wrong ) and fowled up computer, correct bulb in place and disconnect battery to reset K A M ( keep alive memory) problem solved, BEWARE, some vehicles cannot have KAM reset except for dealer computer tethered reboot , just try putting the factory correct bulb(s) in and see how it goes, geoff. hope this helped.

I have Sunquest Pro 16s tanning bed that I have just replaced all of the bulbs. One will still not light. Can anyone help?

There are no starters on the 16s. Did the position work before you replaced the bulb? If not and it still doesnt work with the new lamp, it is either a lampholder or ballast. If it worked before and doesnt now, it is either not in correctly or its a bad lamp, you can verify by swithching with another lamp

How to replace bulbs in tanning bed

Without the specifics of your bed, I can give you some general info.

  • The first thing you need to do is remove the acrylic. Depending what type of bed you have, this may require a screw driver to remove the metal retaining strip on the outside edge of the acrylic.
  • Set the acrylic aside, & remove the burnt out bulb(s).
  • Depending on the type of bulbs you are using, you may need to place adapters on each end (these can be removed & reused from your old burnt out bulbs).
  • Regardless of bed type, most have one thing in common when it comes to bulb terminals. One end of the bed will have a stationary terminal, & one end will have a springy one.
  • Place one bulb end in the spring side first, press in, & guide the other end into the stationary side.
  • Turn bed on for a test to make sure everything is working properly.
  • Replace acrylic (and retaining strip if necessary), and you're ready to tan :)

Sunvision facial tanning bulb buzzing and flicker's and won't light

It is not the socket. If the bulb is installed correctly, there is a starter on the ballast that needs to be replaced.

Check the bulb you adjusted, you probably got it in wrong, and shorted stuff out. Reset the bulb, and replace the fuses. At least you had fuses.

2 tanning bulbsdont work. could it be the fuse in the bed

maybe they burnt out. you can use an UV reader, which lets you know when to replace the bulbs. it tells you how much UV light is being outputted. When you replace your tanning lamps, it is ideal to replace them all at once.

Do I need to worry about how often salons change the bulbs in their tanning beds?

Yes - even though in theory tanning bulbs can last up to 1,000 hours, if they are not changed very regularly, they can seriously affect the quality of your tan. Bulbs should be replaced after 500 - 600 hours use.

Just purchased bed. 5 lamps not lighting and 1 on canopy blew immediately after turning on. replaced lamps, replaced starters and holders. still have the same issue and have tried 2 more lamps in the one...

Have a trained technician to check the voltage going to the bed. If all bulbs / ballasts have same problem, this may be the problem. You may need a Buck/Booster.
