I took the blades off my table fan to clean them and once i put the fan back together and turned the fan back own the blade spins and everything but no air is blowing out

I think that you may have put the blade on backwards. try taking the fan apart and reversing the blade around and reassembling the fan.

Hp pavillion dv9000 power input jack lights up and power is getting to mother board but it wont power up

Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you.

NO DIAGNOSTIC LEDS LIGHT UP

This problem has repeatedly been reported with this model and the 4800. People will tell you it's the power supply, motherboard and CPU. It is none of those. Your CPU cooling tower has been jarred loose. Dell made these things way too big, and as a result a simple bump to your case can make everything go crazy. Remove your fan shroud, then the fan then the cooling tower, cleaning each as you go.
Now remove the large cooling tower. Remove, clean and reseat your CPU, add NEW thermal paste and reassemble everything and keep the PC on it's side. The system should now be able to reboot. In extreme cases of jarring such as the PC has been dropped etc, your motherboard may have been damaged. In this situation it is best to buy a new motherboard and transfer all your components to the new board. So far, I haven't had to do this though. Most of these PC's come back to life easily with the steps I just mentioned above.

My sr1120nx wont power up its like there is no power in the house i switched power cords nothing

Hi First make sure your main power supply is working fine,. Open cpu cabinet cover then pull cmos cell from motherboard for 10 minutes .Reconnect ATX power connector from smps power supply to motherboard. Then check. If still same then make sure smps power supply box is fine it is on the top of the cpu it is square box where power cable connected from main outlet. Change it then it will work again. Also make sure motherboard is not ground with cabinet cover. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

Why did my xps 400 just quit, The only thing that works on it is, the cooling fan at high speed

The fans running full tilt are an indication of a NO POST failure with the motherboard.

The POWER LED on the tower, is it Solid Green? Solid Amber? Flashing Amber?

The diagnostic LEDs? (Numbered 1234) are any illuminated?

General trouble shooting is as follows:
  1. Power system off, disconnect all external connections except the power cord, turn the system on see if any change. If you get a change, reconnect items one at a time till you ID the failure. (Twice I've seen a bad mouse cause a no post, so don't assume items are good) If no change go to step 2
  2. If no change, then POWER LED is likely a solid amber. Open the tower, remove all PCI and PCI-E cards, see if the symptoms change. If they do, like before add items back one at a time till you ID the failure.
  3. Disconnect power to all drives, see if anything changes ....
  4. Remove the RAM, see if there is a change, if no change then replace the motherboard. If you get a change, try RAM modules individually see if one is faulty.

Dell 3100 will not turn on.THere is a yellow light on motherboard

If you are getting an orange light on the motherboard the power supply is not the point of failure. Its good to power off the computer when not in use. it will not only save power but also reduce depreciation to the hardware due to heat. Getting back to the issue. Check the status of the power light on the tower. if it is blinking try to reseat the memory power connectors on the motherboard and any PCI cards and video cards. If reseating all components does not help try powering on the computer with the parts discoonected, If still no go it is a possible motherboard failure.

Rate if useful.

My computor screen is black pc tower has green light on abut no fans are running what has gone wrong . i took caseing off and cleaned all dust but plugged back in and no fans

The first thing I would check is the power supply. It sounds like it has just enough power to turn on some lights, but not enough to power up fans, motherboard, CPU, etc. So either test the Power supply, or just purchase a new one. They are pretty cheap these days.

Beep problem Dell Dimension 4700

Beep problem update - Dell 4700. Last night started computer - cold boot. The screen had just started to light up and then went black and computer started beeping in an interrupted sequence. Fan speed increased considerably (suggesting overheat?) Shut it down and attempted two restarts with no success. This morning I unplugged all cords, opened case, pulled and reset memory cards and vacuumed inside. The computer was very clean so really don't suspect that dust was an issue. Buttoned it back up plugged in plugs and restart successfully accomplished. Have no clue why. Some square electrons, I guess.
