Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

Canon ir3320i. Just had this machine installed 3 days ago. Had the toner replaced as I was told machine from factory usually have minimum toner in them. Today, after about 80 copies, there's a blank line along the copies. I need to know if it's a toner problem or is it something else and how to solve this. P/s, I already tried shaking the toner up a bit and replacing the paper and the problem remains.Thanks

Most new printers come with alignment paper. Were the printer heads aligned after instillation? Aligning the heads will use quite a bit of ink, so have some handy to replace if needed.

    thanks Jack Owens. but this happened today: had the technician come in for a check. after fiddling with a lot of the outer stuff and getting the same results, he went and opened up the toner container. and there was a broken piece. this broken piece was on one side hence why the blank printing on one side. the two tiny pieces on each side holds two small rods that sift the toner so that it doesn't form a lump and stay in one place. temporarily, he removed them completely and currently I need to set a higher density to get a decent photocopy. but for minor photocopying i'm relying on my mx527. until he replaces the missing pieces. hope this info will be helpful for others.

SOURCE: canon LBP 3000 tells me it needs a new toner cartridge

My IT guru at the place I work found an AMAZINGLY SIMPLE SOLUTION. Remove the paper, then remove and replace the toner cartridge. Now put the paper back in, and you are ready to go. Our IT man rocks!

reset part life. turn on printer, Open front door, Press and hold cancel, press reprint. Now scroll through menu of toners h=high yeild and s=standard. press ok and ok again to accept. close door.

Please let me know the model of your machine. In general, if you are having print quality issues, such as lines dots or black patches, these are usually due to toner cartridge. Genuine Replacement of Toner cartridge is advisable.
However, you may get your toner cartridge re-filled, if its parts are working properly. Cartridge parts like OPC, PCR and magnetic roller can be replaced. Re-filling the toner is always cheaper and costs around 1/4th of the new toner price. So, check for the price of new toner and compare.

I have refilled/ refurbished toners myself and had no issues. Properly re-filled/ refurbished cartridge would NOT cause any damage to the printer. So, you may get your toner refilled by some good professional and it would work fine.

Sounds like you have the wrong driver installed, go to canon website and download a new driver for the machine

The alarm light is blinking and the toner was changed 3 days ago. Minimal printing since then



Forgive me for asking this, but roughly speaking about 80 to 95% of problems involving ink or toner are resolved by the following:
Are you using a factory new ink cartridge supplied by the manufacturer of the printer?
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using the manufacturer’s new ink cartridges, then please contact their technical support group. Factory new cartridges usually have warranties on them.

iR C3100 600 dpi if equipped with network print/scan kit.
iR3320i 200 dpi, 300 dpi, 400 dpi, 600dpi yes, can scan
iR C2570 600dpi yes, can scan

After replacing toner-printer won't reset


The machine should ask you if you've replaced the relevant toner cartridge, you must answer ;yes'. Turn off the machine and then on again and remove the toner cartridge. Then re-install it and answer the question correctly.

maybe the cartridge you are using is a refurb. and the sensor is not working or the chip is bad.

Error code E000732-0001 on canon imageRunner 3200n


this is a reader board error ... 1st check all connectors on the machine unplug and replug did this just happen or could there be a connector missing, this code usually comes from the connecter that looks like a small parrellel connector on rear going from scanner to right rear side
