Question about Dual 03-09 Dodge Ram Quab Cab 2500 3500 02-08 1500 Subwoofer Enclosure Boom Box
1st gear and second gear are fine the trans fluid is good smells good no burnt color or odor heard a pop noise and it just quit working
The shift linkage could have come undone or be damaged (hence the pop sound) also could be an electrical fault (fuse making a pop sound when it fails)

Check the fluid level. You may want to consider having the transmission flushed. (I recommend BG Products flush system.) Properly flushing the trans removes any varnish the may have built up causing erratic behavior.
