What kind of batteries are you using? I had this problem with a Samsung camera when using alkalines. It behaved much better with rechargeables or oxyride batteries.

Re the D3300, battery is full, screen comes on, but goes off after 5 seconds, Why?

That's probably because nothing is wrong. If you want a longer screen time-out, you can set it in the menus.

The camera is designed to be primarily used by viewing though the optical viewfinder. Not only will this generally give you a better look, the camera is more stable when pressed against your cheek than it is held out at arm's length.

Power on green light on coolpix L18 is blinking. Why? Camera won't work.

This might not work with all cameras, but try it anyway...

Take out your battery and memory card. Put them back in with the battery being first. Try and charge.

You might still have problems charging with the USB lead to the camera. In such a case, you should buy a proper charger that you can put the battery into and charge it. Sometimes charging through the camera doesn't work.

I have a kodak easyshare c533 camera and it won't turn on. I tried new batteries but all it does is flash the green light. Any ways to fix this?

Green light flashed, turned red, lens would not open. Put in new rechargeable batteries, still nothing. Someone here suggested to try regular AA cheapie batteries. IT WORKED!

Wont turn on, new batteries, green light just blinks.

Make sure you are using the correct batteries, and that they are installed correctly. Some cameras require more powerful kinds of batteries and will not work with the cheaper kinds.
A blinking light can mean something is wrong with the power, not enough or something else.
If you have a power adapter or can get one, you may try that, to see if the camera will work without batteries. If it does, then some problem exists in the battery circuit.
