SOURCE: Grinding, scraping noise when drying

Glides or roller replacement, could also be something from a pocket wedge between drum or cabinet.

Can you push the drum up and down. If so then the main bearing has gone bad and needs to be replaced. This is the only metal on metal rubbing you will get unless the machine is off balanced. This is caused usually by doing to heavy of loads and wearing out the bearing

SOURCE: My GE Profile DPSE810 Electic Dryer has started

Depends on what kind of noise...
-Repetative muffled creaking: Probably the metal drum sliding against the plastic mount that holds the front of the drum. It can be TEMPORARILY eliminated by disassembling the dryer and tampering with the felt strip so that the drum has more play and turns more freely. It does not indicate a major problem.
-Metal against metal scraping: Maybe the metal cabinet got bashed in just enough that the drum rubs against it? This kind of sound should be investigated and fixed.
(For what it's worth, my DPSE810EG4 does has the repetative muffled creaking.)

2006 pt cruiser making scraping noise when wheel turning to the right

is it a scraping noise or a clicking noise. a scraping noise could indicate a brake noise when turning have the brakes checked in the front. if its a clicking noise only when turning to the right then you may have a bad cv joint on the right half shaft. replace the half shaft assembly.

Maytag mav6057aww makes loud noise while spinning

Is it a scraping sound or more of a rumbling sound? If it's scraping check for screws, nails, necklaces, etc., in the drain holes of the basket. If rumbling sound your tub bearings may be failing.

93 Grand Caravan right rear wheel/brake problem(s)

well i can help with problem #2

even if you tightened the wheel bearing, it is probably worn out..

what it does when it's loose is you won't hear much noise when you drive on a strait road but the minute you put some weight on it, like when you take a curve, the weight of the body is applied on the bearing resulting in a scraping noise....

and the faster you'll drive the more noise you'll get

so let's say you take a left turn you're gonna hear noise from the right wheel...

Noise that sounds like a scraping noise.

If it stays long enough, press very lightly on the brakes to see if it will change or cease; I have occasional problems as you describe if one of our vehicles stands too long in our fairly humid area. When severe, I drive slowly forward while applying a little braking action and this clears it up.

Right rear is making a sound of medal scraping medal. I believe it maybe the wheel bearings.

If it's a scraping sound, when does it happen? If it's when you hit the brakes, then it's likely your rear brake pads/shoes are down to the metal and are scraping. This can happen when you're not hitting the brakes, however. Bad wheel bearings are usually a moaning/roaring sound that increases as road speed increases. Ditto that for differential bearings - if they go out, you usually get a roaring noise that increases the faster you go.

Terrible scraping noise from drum, what is it?

more likely there is a bra wire caught between the inner drum and outer tub, possibly wrapping itself around the element in the bottom.
