Here is a list of remote codes for Emerson TV: 004 009 014 023 024 025 026 027 030 032 033 034 035 036 037 038 039 040 041 042 043 045 046 049 053 116 135 147 177 179
Give them each a try (a pain I know) and please rate me if they work!

I have the same setup like you. Direct TV and Emerson LCD TV. The Direct TV remote stores a limited amount of codes and none worked on my TV. Sadly it's not something you can update. They seem to only stick with the popular codes. Welcome to the "head of the curve" like me. lol

Hold the set up button until the red light stays on on the remote. Press power until the TV responds. My sleep timer displayed after 23 presses (hotel room Magnavox TV). Stop pressing remote. The red light will then flash a few times once you stop. Problem fixed.

If you only wish to power the TV off/on with the remote, there is an alternative. Plug the TV into the outlet on the back of the Comcast box. In the Setup Menu for the Comcast box there is an option to make the outlet switched or unswitched. Select SWITCHED then the TV will turn on/off with the Comcast box. The
LC320em9 will maintain the previously selected input.
