Can't figure out how to pull front wheel bearings-jdeere gator
There seems to be no way to use a puller on these bearings as the manual suggests there is not enough room to insert any sort of a pullers fingers in the space available because of the spacer tube between the bearings

In order to remove the front wheel bearings without press hub off the bearing and then the bearing out of the knuckle. To do the first step need a a Support Bridge.It is a special tool. Make bridge and use a general bearing pulled kit to replace bearings. use a "Front Wheel Drive Bearing Removal Adapters Puller Pulley Tool Set Kit" .To replace the bearing, remove front CV shaft taking care not to move the CV shaft too far out .
Take a tape measure and check if the back wheels are same diameter. They may have given you two different size wheels so one is too small. Some machines have bigger back wheels than front - so if they sent a front wheel and a back wheel (instead of two back wheels) one may be too small. If machine has any kind of suspension measure how long each side is to see if one side is stuck in the up position.
there a 2 tapered bearings on the crown wheel carrier housing ,remove the 4 bolts pull out the crown wheel. the bearings can now be removed with a split type bearing puller. I would take it to a machine shop .as the bearing preload has to be set up , the pinion back lash and tooth depth has to be adjusted. If you can't do this you will have all sorts problems .
Johny brown is wrong.... the 2005 ford f150 2wd requires a rotor/bearing assembly it is really really easy to change...... jack it up remove wheel, 18 mm wrench to remove caliper mount... then remove spindle cotterpin and nylon nut (26mm? ) with any luck the rotor/bearing /hub will pull right off ...if not a make shift lever/puller should do the trick.... I actually had a bearing frozen on the spindle that i used heat and a small 3 jaw puller to get the bearing free.... if everything goes smoothly you should be done in less then 30 min

NOTE: The wheel bearings are not serviceable. If the bearings are bad, a new hub/bearing assembly must be installed.
Remove or disconnect the following:

Brake drum, if equipped
Rear caliper and rotor assembly from the hub, if equipped
Hub dust cover
Raise the staked portion of the hub retaining nut with a hammer and chisel.
Remove or disconnect the following:
Hub retaining nut and discard it
Hub and bearing assembly from the spindle
Fig. 2: When installing the new hub nut, be sure to stake it into the notch on the spindle
Install or connect the following:
Bearing assembly on the spindle. Torque the new nut to 131-173 ft. lbs. (177-235 Nm)
remove cv outer nut, tire brake caliper and lower ball joint use a bar to pry against lower a frame to seperate ball joint slip out cv axel then remove four nuts securing wheel bearing. I would have to check at home for exact instructions.
Diagnosing the bearings can be tricky depending on severity of wear. Typically - drone noise at highway speeds, squeeling, clicking or grinding noises at low speeds that reduce during braking, or pull off the wheel and brake assembly and check the bearing for slack or smoothness of rotation by hand. While doing this, check the brake assembly thoroughly - generally a more likely culprit of wheel noise.
Wheel bearing replacement is not for the novice backyard mech. - you will need pullers, press, etc. If you can get a rebuilt assembly - much easier.
