My DVD player Philips 3007/69 door/disc tray won't open.

My DVD player Philips 3007/69 door won't open. There is a disc in and I am able to play the disc. The door won't open, I tried several times over. I gave a call to the Philips service center, I was assured within 48 hours "fixit", no one ever called in 3 days now.
