Re: hitachi 50tb31 oscilloscope

The scope that you are looking for should be an Hitachi 50TB31.

I know it is really difficult, the only place I found they may have something is here but you need to call.

Good Luck!

How can I connect an equalizer to my Marantz sr-66 ?

Does it have a loop through connection that is before the amplifier section of the tuner? If not I'm not sure you can. If so then you need to connect the equalizer in this section of the tuner.
The owners manual should be able to tell you more than I can find on Google

Marantz tuner 120 stereo light will not come on,

Probably it is suffered by over aging. You need a skilled repairman.

Marantz st-48 wont pick up fm signal

If you are inclined to try to service this unit the first step is to download a service manual, this is a sight that has a copy of the manual for download for a price

you will require some hand tools, soldering iron and desoldering brade and some solder, multi meter and some type of signal tracing device like and oscilloscope or and audio tracing amplifier.
Look for missing power supply's to your RF front-end circuits and FM discriminator , also track down the analog switching ic to varrifie that this unit is functioning and selecting the FM circuits
if you still kneed help contact me further with your findings and a copy of the service guide

Have a good day and good luck
Best regards Falco

My antenna jack on a marantz sr5500 broke. how do i replace it and where can i find one

If you still have the connector and if your Tuners board is not broken, you can solder it back on if you are careful. If not replace the whole tuner.

Tuner problem

The numbers you list are Marantz numbers. Given this unit's age, there is a possibility that these are germanium transistors which are no longer available. I will look up your specific model's service manual, but it would help to know the location of the transtors in question here.

Keep us posted and look back in a few days.

Marantz model PM 400 yes its about 30years old. Problem volume does not respond to knob changes. Very cracklie sound. Do I need to replace the amplifier or is their a service agent on the sunshine coast...

It can be fixed by yourself. All you need is some tuner lubricant (available at Radioshack or similar store, or if nowhere can be found you can even try WD40). Pull the knob off so you can see the shaft. Spray the tuner lube onto the shaft (let gravity be your assistant). Replace knob and work it back and forth until it moves more easily than before. Test it and you should be golden.

Marantz tuner no power

I had the same problem.

Just resolder the primary winding of the transformer on the PCB.

Works fine again

Marantz 6200

Your unit's micro IC, is in need of a reset.Un-plug the unit and locate the semi large yellow capactor on the main board. (r-h side facing front) Now flip the unit over and look thru the vent holes in that same area and locate the two solder pins. Short them out with a thin metal object, like a straightened out paper clip or wire, and turn it over (just discharge the cap and remove your wire) this will default all settings and restore normal operation.
