I have an old fantom thunder upright and need to take the bottom off it to see what is stuck in it. I don't know how to do this.

moz-screenshot.jpgI found a manual for the Fantom Stick Vac, model FS801 (your model may be different).
For "Cleaning Air Driven Turbo Brush", it says:

  1. Remove the turbo brush from the hose or extension tube.
  2. Slide locking latch forward, then tilt the top housing of the brush upwards. The top housing is hinged and will tilt up approximately 45 degrees only.
  3. There may be some dust, lint, hair, etc. on the turbine wheel. Remove as much of this as possible.
  4. You may also use the unit's hose with the crevice tool attached, and use the vacuum to remove any additional debris from the turbine.
  5. Ensure that the turbine wheel moves freely by rotating it with your finger. If the turbine does not rotate, call Customer Service for help.
  6. Once clean, close the top cover of the turbo brush and slide the locking latch towards the rear of the brush to lock.
There is also an image in the manual that might help. You can download the manual for free here.

Hope this helps!

How do I attach a mini turbine head to my dyson dc07 upright?

Remove the handle / hose / wand assembly like you were going to use the tools. The mini turbo brush will attach to the open end of the wand.

Brush wheels are not spinngin

There should be a rubber belt that drives the brush roller(s) which may be broken. Should be able to detach plastic retainer on bottom of machine to check/replace.

We have the Eureka EZ Kleen upright. We have suction through the hoses but not the main vacuum. The brush turns fine but the vacume does not **** anything up.

THE HOSE BETWEEN THE DETACHABLE WAND AND THE BRUSH ROLLER AREA MUST BE CLOGGED WITH CARPET FIBERS. CLEAN IT OUT AND IT SHOULD WORK.

Dirt devil ultra vision turbo model #087300

As it turns out I didn't clean the hose as well as I thought, The second time I fully removed the hose and found that where it bent was where my problem was. Along with a pen I found about three inches of dirt clogged in the hose. After removing the pen and dirt along with a new filter the vac works like new.
