Why is my hand wheel difficult to turn on my Singer Tradition machine? It was working fine and then just stopped working smoothly. Any suggestions?

This happen to me I left the bobbin in lock position. when I fill up my bobbin on the top I push toward the right to lock in place. and when your finished.you forgot to push it back to un lock it. And that will cause also the wheel not to move..

Pressed foot is not moving to sew

this bobbin spindle alternate postion is for loading the bobbin from a spool of thread. on older machines with a wheel the inner part of the wheel was turned to dis engage to foot end to do the same task.

How do i set timing on singer 4423

unscrew the bottom and left side of the machine and : Set the pattern selector dial to " zig zag".
Turn the stitch width dial to "6", Set the needle bar at its lowest point when
it swings to the left. Place clamp around
the needle bar, tighten its screw (a) but still
allowing movement.
- Set the timing gauge (4 mm) on the
needle bar so that piston touches bottom
of needle bar cradle without forcing and
tighten screw by hand.
- Turn the handwheel gently towards you
until gauge stops at 4 mm.
Turn the hand wheel until the shuttle hook
holder point is on the right side of needle,
the distance between needle hole and it
should be 0.5~1.0 mm.
- If the distance is incorrect, loosen the
screws of lower shaft gear , and
adjust shuttle hook to correct timing, and
tighten the screw.
It's not that complicated and, if you don't have gouges then, you will need a lot of patience. Good luck :)

Singer 3321 Talent Sewing Machine jammed after one turn forwards or backwards, even when thread and needle removed it won't work

This sounds more like the motor is bound up. The other solutions are, check for thread wrapped around moving parts, any belts that may have become displaced.

Top thread is tight but erratic bottom one is loose and uneven

How come you don't ask the company where you are buying the machine??????????????????????????????
Are you scared that someone there might know what the problem is and give you another machine. These companies do not bite and if you do not tell them they will not know and not be able to assist you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My sewing machine is old and it had the same problem with lots of screaming. On the right hand side of the machine is a wheel, inside that compartment is a belt and lower down behind the belt is another one, just oiled it slightly with sewing machine oil and it works like a bought one. I could do this because of the age of the machine and I do not owe anyone money for my machine and I am wondering what the problem is with you? If you do not own this machine I suggest you return it before doing anything to it and ask for assistance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and if you have done anything to it while it is in pre sale you should be grown up enough to pay them for the machine. If you have bought the machine and fiddled with it then you should loose your guarantee or warranty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Singer 7467 wheel won't spin, unless little bit if I do manualy by hand...

do this

If the iron heats but steams improperly, inspect the soleplate and clean the vents (see below) and flush sediment out of the steam chamber (see below).
If the iron produces too much or too little heat, test the electrical cord . Also test and, if needed, adjust calibration of the thermostat
If the iron does not spray properly, inspect and clean the nozzle (see below).
If the iron leaks or spits, clean the steam vents, nozzle, and tank.
If the iron sticks to fabric, clean or repair the soleplate. If the iron stains fabric, clean the soleplate, clean the tank with a commercial cleaner, and use distilled or filtered water.2_1_2013_6_01_09_pm.jpg

My Rowenta Garment Steamer will not steam up.

Ok. This thing is caused by scaling. If the steam generator runs out of water the sensor thinks the tank is empty and causes the machine to go to standby (basically switch off -- orange light comes on). The solution: Open the machine and clean it.

MAKE SURE THE POWER CABLE IS UNPLUGGED BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO THE FOLLOWING:

1. There are six screws ( phillips - you will need a long screwdriver). Two of them are hidden under the wheels (just pop off the rollers and you will see the screws)

2. Open the steam generator (there are four screws) and be very careful with the 'O' ring -- you damage it and you can say good bye to the machine. Clean it if you see scaling. The amount of scaling present would indicate how hard your water was. This itself may not be cause of the problem but now that you openend the machine, you might as well as clean it for better efficiency.

3. Disconnect the hose to the steam generator (it has two circlips) and clean it. Mine had hard deposit of scales preventing the water reaching the steam generator.

Re assemble it.

Good Luck
