SOURCE: Feeds multiple sheets of paper at once

This usually happens when "paper dust" builds up on the take in rollers. Clean the rollers with cotton and alcohol.

SOURCE: HP paper jam

That is usually caused by the paper feed rollers being cover with paper dust. Take a clean cotton pad and alcohol and clean the rollers :turninig each roller as you clean it. if it has a rear dor, open it to get better access to the rollers.

exists special function in driver of the printer which quantifies pages of the document on one signet sheet. Sounds like "Multiple printing" you can manipulate or disactivate this function.

PULL ALL PAPER OUT OF MACHINE EVEN THE SUPPLY, UNPLUG OR TURN OFF THE POWER TO THE UNIT, PUT A STACK OF PAPER IN THE SUPPLY TRAY & GENTLY PUSH FORWARD NOT FORCING IT UNTIL IT STOPS. TURN POWER BACK ON & TRY AGAIN. YOU MAY HAVE TO REPEAT THIS 2-4 TIMES BUT IT WORKED FOR MY HP DESKJET F4180 ALL IN ONE.

I have a paper jam with at least 8 sheets of paper that are caught and I can not get them to move in either direction. I have a Samsung ML-2510 Mono Laser Printer. Thank you, Marge

You are probably trying to pull them out in one go. The best way when multiple pages are pulled thru any machine is to pull out each sheet from the middle of the pack. This way only the sheets either side are holding them in place. When you try to pull the lot out in one go the pickup rollers are holding them so you can get anything to move.

Single sheet paper on my HP LJet 1100a works fine

There is a recall fix on this printer if it has specific feed problems like pulling in multiple sheets etc. Might be related. You can contact HP and they'll send you a DIY fix kit to replace the rubber that pulls the sheet in and onto the rollers.

Needs a separator pad kit installed. Call a local tech to replace it, or if you are brave, you can google and find the parts and try yourself.

Paper Jam C84

Was the printer feeding multiple sheets at the same time, so that the sheer thickness of the wad caused the jam? If so, look into the slot where you load paper (this is called the automatic sheet feeder or ASF). You should see a small roller with a rubber coating. This is what pulls the sheets into the printer. Put one sheet of paper into the ASF and do a print. The Windows test print facility is convenient for this: start-control panel-printer and faxes, then right click your printer icon and select properties, then test print). If this works OK, put two pages into the ASF, then three etc. Observe what happens. If at some point more than one page is pulled in, it infers that the ASF is not working properly, in which case you will need to consult a technician (or have a go yourself at dismantling the printer). If the one-two-three-four etc page test doesn't produce a multiple feed, all it probably means, is that static electricity is holding the sheets tightly together. Make sure when you put a wad of paper into the ASF it has been fanned.

Report back on what you find, or if you have any queries on the above.

Paper Jams

Best paper is a about 20lb paper. Make sure you fan the paper to get air between the sheets so it doesn't try to pull multiple sheets at the same time.

Blow out with compressed air (available at office max walmart etc.

Make sure there are no small pieces of paper stuck anywhere in machine

Lexmark Opra M410 Laser

Your printer has a separation pad that is worn out and needs to be replaced. This pad prevents the printer from feeding multiple pages. It is located in the inside front of the paper tray Assembly.
