Email is frozen + hacked

Yahoo accounts are well known for being hacked. I switched over to G-Mail. Once on there I had all my Yahoo mail redirected. I can still use the old Yahoo e-mail address as well as my own. There's far less spam too.
If it was reported to Yahoo they might have locked your account. So you will need to contact them to get it reopened.

You probably need to change your yahoo email password using either the web browser on your phone or better still on your computer (easier to navigate yahoo on computer) Once you have reset your password, you will need to go back into your settings menu on the iPhone and change your password in the phone settings in order to access your email again.

that happend to me. all you have to do is log on to your yahoo account and change your pass code . when you leave your yahoo account make sure you log out every time. if you stay logged in theres a much bigger chance of it being hacked again. your passcode should be made up of some numbers, mixed upper case and lower case letters. after i changed mine the problems stopped.

First you need to make sure that the request to change the password is legitimately from Yahoo. Sometimes fraudulent emails from say Yahoo or Ebay will be sent to your account and it is not actually from the company but a hacker trying to get you to click on the link which will take you to a fake site that looks exactly like the real one. Anytime you get an email like this, you need to open up another tab and type in the website directly to log on. If you are unsure if it is real or not you can log on like this and change your email just in case but NEVER click on a link that looks suspicious from your email, even if it is claiming to be a site that you are affiliated with. This is called phishing. If you go directly to a site and can't log in, you will have to go through the security procedures to reset your password or have it sent to an alternative email that you usually set up when you sign up for a new account. As you are saying that your address is hacked i.e. you yourself cannot open and go inside the account in this case you shall open one new account. and ask all your friends using yahoo account to report abuse on that particular account. Once 12-15 users have reported abuse to an account the account will be disabled by yahoo. Yes you should open one new account and mind that you should use atleast one wild card character and a non dictionery password so that it cannot be hacked in.

Once you were able to reset it, I suggest you change all the information so that your account will not be compromised again.

you have to supply your alternate email account (if any) and answer all the questions. then change your password. or if that's the case, you have to write yahoo regarding your account that was hacked so they can block the said account. Last thing you can do, sign up for a new account.

Well, if you post the pw and user name online someone will surely hack it. Go to where the login is and use the password reset link they provide. You have two options, get the password sent to your alternate email if you spcified one or you can answer a secret question to reset it yourself. If that does not work contact Yahoo and they will send you a new password. And in future do NOT post usernames or passwords online in a public forum even if you are locked out of an account.

With the amount of dependencies constantly growing on the usage of emails it is quite difficult to imagine your email account getting hacked. Losing your personal emails, pictures, contacts, registrations details, confidential files, etc. And once a Yahoo account is hacked, the first thing that is found altered in most cases is the zip code and the password. Hackers even change you alternate email id, in order to gain complete control over the account.

If your account has been hacked, there is no point in wasting time in looking for tricks to get back the account. The amount of time you waste, is the amount of time the hacker gets to browse through the account. So, without wasting time, send in a mail to Yahoo Security department @ "[email protected]" mentioning the details of the problem. Do mention few details like the last password, the last time you accessed the account, and all the information that you had given on the registration page(at-least some of them). You would receive a reply soon, giving you the details to follow.
